Just drove a brand spanking new ecoboost to St. Louis and back today, was not at all impressed with gas mileage. Was a bit over 4 hours round trip all interstate, had cruise set at 68mph and got 14mpg! What the heck? The computer said 16.5mpg but I topped it off before leaving and again when I got back and found different. Was really hoping to find a truck to replace my old beater 00 chevy 6.0 3/4 ton but don't see this as being my replacement truck.

you could tell the guy in the ford was not on the ball at take off and he was not even trying, either that or he doesn't know how to drive. I have driven both of these trucks and they both have a lot of balls from take off. I do not know who would win in an overall race, although I know they both get from 0-60 in around 6 seconds give or take a few and I do know that this video was staged for sure. Quit wasting peoples time and get a life.

Slapping a blower on the dodge and you lose your warranty, reliability, and more times than not, lost mpg. Plus paying an extra $5,800 + installation of the supercharger. Stock Ecoboost vs Stock Hemi is no contest in performance and mpg. If you want to bring up naturally aspirated, compare Hemi to the Ford 6.2L.

@malkowskitube The rt isnt discontinued, they are out for 2011 and 2012. And the lighnting was slower than the rt btw. Fords performance truck is the slowest out of ford, dodge and GM. And if you want proof that the ford is slower, scroll up and click play. And like I said earlier, it took a turbo to get as much power as they did and its still slow. Im sure that set up does great in cars but, for a big heavy truck you need a little more grunt.

@goodinsrt8 So we are finally in agreement. Of all stock 4x4 crewcabs, with 3:55 axles, ecoboost is fastest. Turbo's can be a replacement for displacement, especially when towing, and that a 2 Door, Small Cab Dodge R/T is faster than a 4x4 CrewCab Ecoboost.
