  • Intel Core i5 2500k

    AMD Radeon 6990

    AMD DDR3 1333MHz 12 gigs

    Intel Extreme Motherboard

    620w Antec power supply

  • @TheAwsomeGuy44 I just got myself an HP DV7 with the Llano A8-3500. Over the holidays and last month I've gotten a couple E-350 based notebooks as gifts for others and a few days ago bought my sister an E-450 based laptop. I had an E-350 as well, but gave that away when I got this Llano laptop.

  • i7, you mad bro?

  • My friend has a Llano based HP laptop and despite the specs not looking like it's meant to perform well, the thing runs great and I'm ordering the same one now.

It's got the dual 6620G + 6750m, with the CPU that changes from 1.5ghz quad to 2.4 ghz dual core.

He plays Battlefield 3 on the thing nicely. I'm impressed. It just works better than I expected for everything. I bought a few oversized netbooks (in the form of 15" laptops) using older Fusion tech and they're great. AMD did real good

  • AMD is for poor people who cannot afford Intel...that's about it

  • @rosun82 So I guess poor people are the only ones who see quality and performance

  • @CorrodedCreation As a matter of fact yes...

Only poor people, and probably IT professionals (geeks) care about this...

When rich people need computers, they just buy Macbook air

  • @rosun82 And Macs run on what processor? joke's on you bro

  • @MaseratiMC12R I don't understand what the importance of what CPU the Mac runs. There are many reasons why Mac would choose Intel over AMD. The main reason being that Intel has be practising non-competitive behavior. Intel has being paying computer makers not to use AMD processors. I doubt you will see a AMD process in a Mac ever. The other reason being that Mac's are sold on the PERCEIVED quality and use the INTEL name brand to help them seem high end. Remeber that Mac's are made by ASUS.

  • @brarautorepairs Please read the comment I am replying to before you reply to mine, my comment has nothing to do with AMD vs Intel, or Macs are better.

  • @CorrodedCreation Anyone can see the difference in 15 FPS and 60 FPS.

Why would you need to be poor to see a difference in performance.

Even if someone does have allot of money and they do buy a computer they want a good performing machine, right?

So I guess you are mad?

  • @dev21012 AMD offers a good balance between performance and cost, so it is ideal for someone not wanting to go all out on a higher cost PC. If you will look at some benchmarks of CPUs, an AMD Phenom II quad core processor will have about 5 fps less in most games then an i7. 5 fps is not worth 400 dollars to me

  • @CorrodedCreation No AMD is no longer the "cheap gaming rig" the bulldozer 8150 8 core is more expensive then the intel 2600k and the 2600k beats the 8150 in every benchmark, plus intel overclocks alot harder without extreme tempretures. Im sorry buddy amd are just a thing of the past.

  • @stoofy112 Intel i7 2600k - 324.99 AMD FX-8150- 249.99

Plus 8 cores are going to be much more futureproof then 4 cores

  • @CorrodedCreation Damn Straight

  • @rosun82 FAIL

  • @rosun82 Poor people usually don't buy computers. They have more important things to have such as food and shelter. If you are really that much of an asshole that you think that AMD is for poor people you probably want to look up how much a AMD 8100 costs...

  • @rosun82 Judging by this video. That seems like a good thing.

  • and this is without overclocking on the amd side eh...no contest.

  • Man, im planning to get a laptop with AMD A6-3400m with it AMD Radeon HD 6520G, is it good??? I am no fanboy because i have rigth now a Intel core i3 370 Laptop and i will sell it, but on my desktop i have a intel core i7 2600k with a 6870 and both are aweosome, my laptop its cuz i need it to run CAD, will it be good? please! answer me!

  • @xXDhamoXx 6520G is decent enough for a laptop, don't expect to get any new game to have >30 fps except on lowest settings... it is better then Intel HD 3000 graphics from what Ive seen. I believe the 4 cores will help a fair bit in other tasks, but don't let me be the deciding factor... There are many variables, and programs that just run better on Intel or AMD despite that chip not having as high benchmarks.

  • @xXDhamoXx If you dont know simple things like that then why do you have an i7 2600K ? That is an overclocking cpu for advanced users, not someone who cannot workout if a cpu is good or not.

  • Question:

Are Llano cpus only for laptops?

  • @driveandkill Actually, there is a Llano series for mobile and desktop. The one's with the M or MX suffix are mobile, the ones without (or with a K suffix) are desktop. :D

  • @kaldonrubera Thanks :D

  • Amd clearly kicked intels ass here.. plus lower cost?? Its not even a competition

  • @gdogg2000 omg i have the amd, this thing play all games

  • There you go.

    AMD is usefull all round.

Intel fabulous at Benchmarks for applications but pretty useless as a instrument of media, ie gaming, gaming , gaming.

The world wants fun and work with a laptop.

    Not just Work alone.

Intel fabulous kit, no argument but I want to play, as well as work and the APU allows me to do both.

Yes you can get a laptop with Intel and extra graphics card but the two make a big hit on the battery life and heat output. Plus more expensive.

    Cheaper laptop = AMD.

  • I don't know much about computers, is this with just on-board, on-chip graphics? It's not with a discrete graphics card?

  • @sjc1017 Thats right, it is just the A series chip. No discrete graphics card used.

  • AMD cpu's LOL.

  • @jh3496 Not a CPU.

  • @Eisenheim1234 APU's*. For a htpc dem desktop apus are good, however performance on mobile platforms from amd are terrible. However this is not taking price into account. Pricing taken into account, amd apus are AMAZING for the performance they do get. Buying ati was a smart move (Y).

  • @jh3496 Thats strange, The 3650 in my microATX build, OCED from 2.6 to 3.6 (Just by fsb) paired with 1 6870, is playing BF3 on ultra at 1920x1080 with 2x anti aliasing. i get about a 20-28 percent increase from the GPU part of the APU, and they arent even crossfired.

  • @Eisenheim1234 Dude what framerates AA settings etc? Also how does the integrated GPU work with ur 6870 O.o?

  • @jh3496 Since V-sync is on its locked to 60 ish, but without it and anti-aliasing at 2x i get about 50-60. The GPU isnt crossfired with the APU, but im noticing that i get a boost from using an APU while gaming. Its kinda strange but hey, I'm ok with more performance :D

    AMD A-6 3650 @ 3.6Ghz

16 gigs of 1333 HyperX Blu RAM

    HIS 6870 IceQ 1gb

    60gb OCZ SSD

Thats the set up im running

  • AMD is very COOL :)

  • Where is the side of AMD Notebook

    left or right?

  • Do you have to open k10stat everytime you open your computer to apply profile 5?

  • the amd won simply because of its design. its apu doesnt draw and cpu help and thus the cpu can perform other tasks whereas the intel has a gpu and uses both it and the cpu and thus has slower performance. looks like i will get an amd. hope the multi thread is good

  • This is only laptop, however benchmark is sucking for the bulldozer

(Im a AMD vga fanboy anyway)

  • @MrSaggat yea bulldozer is a huge fail hopefuly pile driver will be better

  • i will never use multi-tasking while im playing MW3 or crysis.

  • Third laptop - Third AMD system!

Oh, and it's so friendly with overclocking!

AMD - the real value for your dinero!

  • No gamer uses integrated GPU. Unless you have no money.

  • You can argue much as you want. Winner is Intel period.

  • amd fails with multi tasking as you can see on the third application execution, it's like amd is male and intel is female.

  • wow

  • drop them down a flight of stairs and see the benchmark for that at the same time!

  • Ijust checked some benchmarks... the 17" Laptop I have outruns the fkin 540M with Crossfire 6720G2 in DX10 and 11 ... only in CPU intensive games the Nvidia performs MUCH better but (at 60FPS ATI and 180 FPS NVidia) come on whats the difference...

I call BARGAIN BIN DREAM on the ASUS K73TA

  • I just found my way into Llano on Laptops and I tell you... bargain bin gaming laptops is what AMD can do best. My laptop outruns the 2 year old intel desktop... goddamn!

  • Wait, wait, wait.... are you comparing a Cpu with a Gpu with a Cpu that has to do everything!?!? WTF

  • @aronjakob1 Are you trying to say the Intel laptop has no GPU? If that's what you mean then you are a massive retard

  • @ThePokermoney I am saying that the Intel gpu is integrated into the cpu meaning that the gpu is not dedicated like the AMD gpu, sure the cpu and gpu are under one die, but the AMD gpu is dedicated and does not require much cpu help.

  • @aronjakob1 No, the AMD's llano on-die GPU is not dedicated. It shares resources with the CPU and uses RAM as its video memory, just like the Intel GPU.

"Dedicated" GPU's are located separately on the motherboard and have their own graphics memory.

  • @HumanRevised you are exactly right, but as you have just said the AMD APU is no different than an Intel cpu w/integrated graphics, so I don't understand what the fuss is about

  • @aronjakob1 The fuss is about the APU's performance. The HD 2000/3000 is too slow for any sort of reasonable gaming, but AMD's APU is fast enough for some gaming. The APU is a step towards lower power draw on laptops but increased graphics performance.

  • @HumanRevised no its dediacted and its not a gpu its an apu

  • What I mean by that is intel cpu's dial down their cores in order to stay with in their thermal design limits. AMD zambezi core processors when over clocking run on 4 out of the 8 cores in order to stay with in their thermal design limits thus needing not as big a heat sink like you do on an intel I7.

    .

  • I own an A6 and A8 and a 1st and 2nd gen core i5. Once overclocked the A6 and A8 are close to the 2nd gen core i5, if not even with it. And they overclock easy. If you're buying a machine with a discrete graphics card, the Intel is a slightly better choice IMHO. If you're buying a machine with no discrete graphics, then the AMD slams the intel hard in everyday use. The integrated gfx in the AMD is VERY fast, uses very little power, and makes it the king of $500 no GPU laptops.

  • Intel = over priced, lots of cache, no built in thermal protection from overheating.

Amd zambezi = decent price, 8 cores, built in thermal protection from overheating.

  • @DATABROTHA99 What do you mean Intel Has no built in thermal protection...??? HAVER YOU HEARD ABOUT TDP (THERMAL DESIGN POWER)???

  • Intel+AMD= Perfect Prossecor. Agree?

  • @OPINOX12009 I disagree indeed... Intel would just only help AMD to develop their shit to a real considerable level... AMD wouldn't bring any benefit To Intel.... Maybe Intel Should Fusion With NVIDIA... That would be a real badass fusion that would bring the perfect processor :)

  • and I will never regret building a new computer with an I5...got sick of my amd

  • he never says what types of processors ie was it an i7 or an i3 vs what type of amd a6 a8?

  • @angelofthesea He very clearly identifies the Intel as a Sandybridge i7. While he does not identify the AMD, the A6 and A8 are all pretty close performance wise, especially once you've overclocked them.

  • AMD<3

  • AMD rocks, I have 6 PCs in total in family, of which 1st and LAST was Intel Pentium 4. Then i switched to AMD, and am very happy :-). All AMD systems are awesome if competed with equivalently priced Intels.

  • $500 AMD beats $800 Intel powered systems. Check yourself. Its not a big deal to identify this common observation though. Mine is Toshiba C650 PSBxxxxx18 ($480), with AMD Athlon II P320 dual core, and its better than Intel's i3s and i5 of $800. i have tested it,

Intel's i3 are weeping to run Excel and firefox! what hell we can expect. But i series 2nd generations good still behind cheaper AMDs.

But if you want tasks requiring SSE4.1 intensive code, then AMD will not give you even in $700.

  • i just got the amd a6 3400m.so far im happy with the price i got it for, plays skyrim at mid settings

  • love amd why i am not super rich and with bills and gf and kids it savesw me so much money so amd means :) for me

  • lano wipes the floor with intel in laptops

  • Always AMD

  • well if you have the money then go for intel by all means but amd enables those with less money in their pocket to play games in semi decent graphics. if you have not lived a life where you had a life dilemma of whether to eat more or eat less to save up so you can buy something, please shut the fuck up. other than that i dont see why. now if you still think that amd is better than intel, you are very indeed ignorant.

  • what are the specifications?

  • intel rapes amd, plus with the new ivy bridge from intel, amd fanboys will kill themselfs from butthurt...

  • @SmelDiferenToMidget They are going after the Trinity. Bad choice. Intel HD graphics 4000 are only good because AMD is forcing them to make it good. AMD forces competition out of intel. Without AMD, intel would only make i3s for the same price, the rest would be thousands like they were in the 90s. They would no longer have fanboys if that happened :)

  • mores falses comercials from AMD?

bulldozer 80% more powerfull than i7 2600k hahahahah... this is bullship ad from amd

  • @Intel & AMD

wait until the qualcomm quad core 2,5 ghz passiv cooled come out. they suck about 6 watts put in 4 in you notebook got a 16 core @ 2,5 ghz passiv cooled using 24 watts and you have 8 memory channel ddr @ 1333

EVEN IF THE QUALCOMM CPUS ARENT THIS FAST 16x 2,5 ghz will beat 8 threads @ 2.9 of intel :)

  • @UnkownName321123 but almost no programs supports more than 4 cores

  • @ninosM1 Yes thats true. but the normal enduser with normal programs dont use more than 4 cores. with adobe ae you can use 64 cores & more

    (sorry for my english)

  • Intel is too expensive for there performance in desktop pcs but in notebooks they beat everything differnt

  • The AMD llano laptops overclock nicely and and give the intel machines a good run for the money. I run 2 busy VMs in windows, MacOS and Ubuntu and I'm very happy for what I paid.

  • Sadly they aren't as good on the desktop area

  • Intel = Pwnd on Benchmark fail at real world applications.

AMD = FAIL on Benchmark excel at real world applications.

    Your choice.

  • @malloucius do you own a llano apu no so your not in a position to judge just because intel i7 was the leading cpu before these badboys came out

  • @malloucius Thats what Ive been hearing about all the Bulldozers. I can confirm this with the A8-3850. It underperformed on the benchmarks to the intel i3, but this thing dominates the i3 in all my applications.

  • Comment removed

  • @malloucius how so

  • @malloucius

Uh not at all, real world usage corresponds to benchmarks, gaming is real world, video conversion and editing is real world, and using handbrake is real world. Intel wins at all.

  • this is stupid it is 2 different computers.

  • @CodyMetal but competing for the same market segment.

  • I think in real life applications AMD makes more sense. Intel on the other hand has better CPU's. Both are great companies and both provide kick ass products. Look at it as a Chevy and Ford situation.

  • now we are going for AMD Fusion, yeah and that costs Just around $400 to run resident evil 5. On other hand my friend has Atom based netbook around $380, he is weeping to see WIndows XP run smoothly. What a nightmare!

  • I love AMD, i had my first desktop with Intel P4 2.8GHz. It was my last Intel based pc. Now i have 3,bought in 2006, 2008-09, (two laptops + 1 desktop) AMD powered systems. All are capable of running Devil May Cry 4 at 20-30 FPS.

  • what laptop models were used for testing?

    thanks!

  • @collapsar27 On the right was HP DV6. It's nice. I just bought it. 4G RAM, 700G HD, Finger print reader, tri-core and some has touch screens. However mine has AMD processor not Intel.

  • a quad amd completely walking on intel 8 core sandy bridge.

  • In terms of cpu power the intel cpu is more powerful but this applicantions require gpu power too and thats when amd llano come it to play and with those two combination with the cpu and gpu from amd makes it more powerfull!

  • I will never regret I have and AMD processor.

  • @jazzercrak07 I reagret having a intel core2duo instead of a turion :)) heating to much, consuming the battery to quick

  • Comment removed

  • AMD. ♥

  • That being said, this is only the first gen. A 100 Watt CPU that gives you graphics from a $90 dedicated GPU is pretty awesome. Especially for laptops and HTPCs.

  • Some seriously stupid people on here and some fan boys. Sandybridge cannot compete with the graphics core of the Liability period. This is why AMD bought ATI to begin with. This Gen CPU was never intended to compete with dedicated GPUs.

  • "We're going to show off the integrated GPU because that's the only way we can really beat Intel". That pretty well sums it up. Well, that's nice AMD, but any i7 quad with a half-decent dedicated GPU is going to smear Llano something fierce. It's good for budget laptops when the user wants a bit more GPU horsepower on the cheap. That's about it. This comparison is utterly pointless when dedicated GPUs show up because then Intel would feed Llano's feet to its ass.

  • @morecrappysketches Uhh you do realize this is for the laptop/HTPC market? I would really hope a dedicated GPU could beat an integrated.

  • @morecrappysketches What an unimpressive statement.

Of course "any i7 quad with a half-decent dedicated GPU is going to smear Llano something fierce." It would be ludicrous if it didn't. The fact is that the comparison was between two CPU's with their integrated graphical solution. It couldn't have been a more fair comparison, what you're suggesting would be similar comparing a 2600k with integrated graphics, vs a 2600k with a gtx560.

  • @morecrappysketches Yeah feed the same graphics card to AMD apu and it will smear Intel something fierce. Because not only is AMD integrated graphics better it also offers crossfire between its integrated graphics and discrete graphics. 20% performance boost at the minimum.

  • @dragonbane44 It isn't integrated graphics though. This is a special different type of processor with a discrete GPU on board so of course it will beat the Intel.

  • @Mdemons12 No man. A discrete level graphics has been integrated into the die along with cpu. So its an integrated graphics for all intents and purposes. Both CPU and GPU comes as one unit of processor called APU. That's the specialty of Llano.

  • @dragonbane44 Thats kind of what i meant

  • It would be better if you use the same laptop the notebook which has amd has a better graphics card that's obvious. You can only choose sandbridge's graphics card on Z68 chipsets. This comparision is bullshit

  • @exploit96 What the hell are you going on about?

The AMD system doesn't have a "graphics card", it's using integrated graphics just like the Intel.

And also, did you not notice that they were comparing laptops and not desktops? Last time I checked, the Z68 chipset was for desktops.

  • @exploit96 Neither machine had a discrete graphics card, this was a demonstration showing the difference in placing more emphasis on graphical performance on the CPU/GPU integration that AMD chose to use, versus Intels emphasis on CPU performance over graphics.

  • just to say WoW.....................

  • looks like they put the power mode to power saver in intel one and screen brightness is very low on im pretty sure i7 woudl whop apu in any day

  • @thegameon

I love how you point that out, but fail to realize that the intel is actually dimmer, meaning the AMD not only is using more power on brightness but it is still maintaining lower Wattage. Damn you fanboys fail so hard sometimes.

  • @XTipherionX

so ur sayin amd is better than intels i7 chip ? cause to me its almost impossible its like comparin amd phenom x6 1100t with intel i7-990x

    jus sounds funny to me

  • @thegameon

In terms of power consumption yes.. obviously... it's right there did you even watch the video.

lol. What are you here bringing up Desktop chips? an 45nm and a 32nm no less. Phenom was made to compete with Core 2, not i7 they postponed 32nm architecture and that is slated to release towards the end of September, although the first REAL benchmarks did come out like 2 days ago and they beat the i7 2600k and even the fabled i7 980X so yeah, AMD is king. Lrn2Stay Updated

  • @thegameon

You can't really argue whether either is better in the first place. They're both top of the line CPU chips, but for different reasons. The i7 is still king of CPU intensive applications, but the A8 has proven to be the front-runner in graphically intensive applications. The i7 can be more powerful for graphic performance, but not without a dedicated graphics solution. They're very different processors, but both amazing in their own right. Just not exactly for the same reason.

  • Radeon 5000/6000 tried and tested GPU BUILT into the CPU.

Come on... It is INSANELY unfair. AMD will always be faster with it's present technology. Next year, when the new intel Arch comes out, it will be a real competition.

  • You guys who are buying cheap Intel systems can thank AMD Llano for the drastic Intel price cuts, an Intel system that competes with this used to cost $950+, I saw a computer with the AMD A8 at Best Buy a week or two ago for $650, not long after its launch ;)

  • Sandy Bridge with a discreet GPU is still undeniably the best platform. My i7-2620M/GT540M gets much better frame rates than my friends A8-3500M/HD 6650, although I spent a little more money.

  • @spire107 AMD Fusion is not designed for implementation in systems with discreet GPUs. That defeats the purpose. It's sectors of interest are non-gaming laptops and netbooks.

  • @transmoderata K53TA

  • @transmoderata

Actually, the A8 chip becomes more powerful when put into crossfire with a separate dedicated Radeon card. It definitely gives more integrated graphics power to lower-end laptops without a GPU, but it's still fully viable to use dedicated graphics with the Llano processors. In fact, quite a few systems that come standard with the A8 chip also sport around a Radeon 6000 series card in crossfire, standard.

  • Sandy bridge = Sandy video playback.

  • i just ordered an AMD A4 3300m powered computer; I just wanted to know, will its performance match or even surpass a similarly priced Intel Core i3 powered computer?

  • You have also got to remember that AMD Llano is newer than sandy bridge so really it is not a fair comparison although sandy bridge did come out in jan 2011, AMD had more time to tweek their apu and make it better than intels. This test also depends on the systems ram, they dont give any information about the ram as that can affect the results rather drastically. i'll be waiting for invy bridge and trinity come out to see how the 22 nm chip of intels compares to AMD's 32 nm trinity.

  • @StreamNintendo If you mean the cpu part of the Llano chip, its not, its just an Athlon at 32nm, also I bet they both have 1333 MHz DDR3; and the gpu part will always outperform Intel.

  • @StreamNintendo Your logic and info is wrong. AMD has been working on its fusion cpu's since they bought ATI, hence why they bought ATI. Intel rushed to put something out before they could, and of course the graphics sucks compared to AMD's

  • Ok but what about FPS? Watts only tells me how efficient it is, but how many frames is it putting out?

  • I got a Llano and I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with the performance it offers for the price range it is in. The i3 laptops usually doesn't come with a powerful enough GPU for and kind of gaming, the i5s in the Llano price range usually uses Integrated HD 3000 series which doesn't compare even to the A6. More expensive i5s and the i7s are more powerful and faster than the Llanos, but is usually very heavy and heats up very fast, not very portable for my uses. (owns XPS15 and an Acer 5560)

  • @NoobsAreUsh how is the battery life?

  • @ripsnorting13 The laptop I own only has a wimpy 6 cell 48Wh battery which gives it around 4 hours of usage, but because the Llano's vcore can be tweaked with k10stat, I can create an undervolted profile which actually lets it run cooler and on less power with it's original performance. What I also found out was the A6 has unlocked multipliers and can be overclocked quite liberally WHILE being undervolted. (More power, less power draw, less heat).

  • @NoobsAreUsh What about everyday use, for youtube videos, and running Microsoft applications? I need a laptop with good battery life and then can play video at 1080p streaming (youtube/netflix/hulu) and then have enough punch to run Office word smoothly all with good battery life. Not worried about gaming at all.

  • @ripsnorting13 The Llano APU draws very little power, in the same range as the Sandy Bridge i3s and better than the Sandy Bridge i5s Intel chips. With a simple undervolt you can bring down the power draw even more, which would bring it ahead of pretty much everything else. Try getting something with a beefier battery though, that would help out alot.

  • I think Intel's time of juicing our wallets is done. Why can AMD produce a similar (or much better) performance without the high price?

  • @Daputaka They have been able to forever. The only reason Intel could even get away from their shitty crippled Pentium D and move to the core duo's is because they threatened to pull a license from AMD from the 80's in exchange for AMD's hyper transport license. AMD tech is responsible for these modern Intel cpu's lol.

  • Bu Bu Bull Bullshit. That intel laptop probably had the shittiest GPU.

  • @iComputer123 : I think the point of this test was to show the new AM fusion integrated GPU vs Intels Integrated Sandy Bridge GPU. And how with the Higher end GPU integrated into AMD's Processor it effects the over all performance of the system.

  • @iComputer123 That was the point, it was using the integrated Intel HD 3000 that is infused into the Intel processor. And they put it up against and AMD processor that used the same GPU CPU integration technology. Based on this, the AMD mopped up Intels CPU/GPU integrated processor. I buy both Intel and AMD but in this instance, AMD is the clear winner.

  • Impressive on the side of AMD. But what type of graphics chip is the intel notebook pushing? And if it is intel integrated( and I think it is), I'd like to know how amd apu fairs against an entry level intel pc with an Nvidia dedicated chip. This may seem like an unfair comparison, but the consumer must consider that theses optopns are available. Can the apu perform at least on par with a system like that, while maintaining better battery life?

  • how odddd the 2 top comments are total opposites

  • I thought having this "APU" would only help playing video games.. does the fact that it is more optimized for visuals help playing videos as well?

If I get an A8-3500 with a radeon 6650 and 6GB RAM can I play most modern games on high (mainly Napoleon/Shogun 2 Total War, Civ V, and Guild Wars)? Thanks!

  • @LoganLaromarr shour you can play cyrisi 2 too but you need to have a very good ram for very good preformance on amd lano(a 8).

  • @rockrl98 Thanks, ya I'm now looking at an A8-3530MX with 6750 GPU so I should be good BUT...

What are your thoughts on A8 vs i5/i7 Sandy Bridge? I'm looking for a good gaming laptop and idk which to get!

  • @LoganLaromarr for gaming amd. for rendering video editing... intel :D

  • @rockrl98 I've always wondered this.. is AMD better for gaming because of its architecture or because it has a better integrated card.. the laptop I am looking at has a better dedicated chip than the integrated 6620 so I really don't care about the integrated card.. I just want a fast CPU to run games better ??

  • AMD COOL!!! :D

    Intel FUCK!! ¬¬

  • When the fuck am I going to be playing a video game, running an excel spreadsheet with thousands of lines and play a movie at the same time, while working on my 3d program? Also did he say that they had the same graphics processors?

  • i always hoped that AMD can fight with onor against Intel. When i heard about the Intel corruption economic development(They gave companies just to not except AMD cpu's in the future), I was a fun already. :) Good job AMD! I have an Acer laptop (4552G) with AthlonII P340 2,2GHz with AMD Radeon 6470M 512Mb DDR3, and I play whatewer i want for only 400 Dollar. (I bought it 2011 May)

  • @666xDavid i bought an acer aspire 5930 for 1000eur at 2008 and i can't play nothing new i rsn crysis 2 at 12-25fps laggy. specs: intel core 2 duo 2.0ghz dual core 3gb ram 512mb nvidia 9600gt m.

  • @rockrl98 i agree... but you now...I'm refering my new laptop. ;) I'm saying the prices on the AMD laptops is cheap and for this is good performance. :) I love my laptop! :D

  • The future is Fusion indeed.

  • @Daputaka

A fusion of AMD and Intel? :P

  • The Intel Sandy Bridge looks like my Pentium III LOL.

  • @Daputaka i stil have compaq n400c with pIII and ati rage 8mb 384mb ram 100mhz fsb yay

  • wait till the intel ivy bridge comes out and rerun this test

  • @Mii2626 why do you Intel guys always compare the ivy bridge (which hasn't even come out yet) to the current AMDs? Also, this test shows that you do not need a powerful cpu, but a powerful apu to do well in the test. Ivy is just more cpu power mated to another crap intel gpu. Im sure it wont be very impressive in this test.

  • @LordSamuelJ wow you're not that smart, intel ivybridge is getting about 30% better performance than the last gen and anyways these amd apus came out about 6 months after sandybridge so i dont know what your complaining about currents amd and future intel

  • The application on the AMD's notebook was started later but it started running much earlier - the picture quality of the AMD's notebook is much better - the coise is yours :D
