Eliminating Ace of Aces has been a major idiocy, it had a very strong gameplay, large player community and it was Jolly good!!

Should have never terminated it, BTW it was and still would be the only complex, enjoyable and free online warplane game available worldwide.. (I went nuts one day searching the web for anything decent that would allow me to glide, fire and fight in the air with NO result)

@awsone100 yep, IA isn't running anymore. The only game that made it out alive was Metal Drift. That's now available on Steam.

But Ace of Aces, Fallen Legion and the others are gone forever :(

@soundslave legions overdrive is back online. Fans bought it out. Not sure about Ace of aces, think tanks etc tho but I believe some modders are bringing a few of those back too

i only see fallen empire legions, marble blast, rokkit ball, think tanks, and zap when i go to home page and when im on game page i only get those same ones

@liamrocks666 macs only have about half the games on instant action. The games that can't be played by mac include Ace of Aces, Galcon, and Lore: Aftermath, though there are others.

As for peopel taling about internet Explorer 8, I'm not sure that the game is compatible. Your best chance is to roll back to IE7 or Firefox and try to play it.

this game is amazing i play as finding forever. its very addictive and the graphics are really good for a internet game. the only problem is getting into game parties.

you can play it on a website called instant action. you will need to register or you could play as a guest . the players computers act as a server for the game so it can be a lil tricky to get into a game. as for downloading the game to yur pc i dont know if thats possible. i googled it and came across games that didnt look like this one

You only need the internet browser plugin. It's a couple of small files. It's not huge like normal retail games.

You should be able to load this game and only take up a very small amount of space. It's a drop in the ocean on a hard drive.

When you click 'start game' it generates a new match with you in it. It's empty because you're the only person in it.

If you want to quickly get into a match with other people, you need to join a game that is currently in progress.

OR start a game and then invite players to it.

It's run inside your internet browser rather than a seperate window. There is a small download before you can play. But it's quick compared to other games.
