Rap is an effective form of communication. It is an art form. A person who can free-style rap has a gift from God. That person has an obligation to use his/her gift of being able to instantaneously create rhyming words for God. I am a poet. If I put poetry to a hip beat, that beat does not change the spirit of my art form. I can not and will not condemn every Christian rapper as being a Trojan Horse in the Kingdom. But thank you for opening my eyes to a serious threat within the genre.
With an open heart, I'll give you my opinion. The G. Craig Lewis clips shed some amazing insight into secular hip-hop. The idea of the Trojan Horse also was a very penetrating image, which has a certain degree of significance. However, I feel Mr. Lewis has classified EVERY Christian rapper in this ideology. I couldn't agree with his approach to vilianize Christian rap. His approach was dogmatic and divisive. I WILL agree that I will be more cautious when listening to Christian rappers
