Hook Training with Reticulated Pythons

I always used hook to let them know I'm not lunch...

Good info. Personally, I'd get a better hook than that. I've had one myself, and it was bending when hooking a juvi royal python.

well, you're not supposed to pull them or pick them up with the hook, these aren't venomous snakes. The hook is only to show them that there's no food coming into the cage, as stated in the video.

Thanks, hook training is the only way to do it! Its one of teh safest methods of handeling large constictors an cuts down on the chance of a feeding responce hit, or a  startled hit ^^
