  • KL public transport system is unacceptable. Buses are dirty, and highly polluting , irregular, drivers are rude, route and timetabling run on non existent system; profit driven privately run. The train lines are trained by people who put the interest of the user (public) last. Don't try changing lines if u r elderly. Basically KL's is a banana republic kind of public transport system. seriously sux.

  • KL got 80%? are you serious......their public transport system is almost nonexistent :S

  • Dhaka got 86%? Are you fucking kidding me? I went there once and I never want to go there ever again. Singapore, on the other hand, is pretty good. I have to squeeze like mad during peak hours most of the time, but it's still quite clean and I can pretty much go wherever I want within about an hour. The only problem is probably the MRT auntie, whom I have thankfully yet to meet.

  • This survey is such a laugn to the point of being absurd!!! The Swedish public transportation, particularly in Stockholm is the best in the world.

  • @lieberat thank you for giving me insight from germany. Certainly singapores public transport could improve, especially with millions of immigrants (to) come. And i do apologise for my hostile first post, I'm so sick of coffeshop uncles who discovered the internet and who just post baseless complaints online, i thought you were one of them.

  • Why is it that only the train system is featured here ?

Singapore has got the worst bus system ever ! Loads of delays, no system nor timings, the buses are on diesel, polluting the air, its terrible !

  • @lieberat lol dude, have you lived overseas before? you have to before you know how bloody good singapore's public transport system is. I'm in australia btw. ;)

  • @fatcamper

Good to know. Yes I'm in Germany. Your standard of "bloody good' is not up to par with a fully developed transportation system in germany where the timing of every transport entity from the Trains: U-Bahn, S-Bahn, Buses are synchonised. Its going to take Singapore a little bit more time to get to that point.

    Green Energy buses,

Above that bicycles play a big part of transportation too. Cyclist here have their own lanes.

  • SENGKANG STATION. =]

  • I totally agree that singapore has the best transportation in the world!! everything is perfect! the trains and stations are clean, trains have a beautiful intrior, announcements are great, waiting time is not very long. a well deserved 1st place!!

  • Did i see the statistics wrongly, malaysia at a rate of 80%? Must be seriously wrong with the way the report is conducted

  • true....

  • It's city statics.. not country, as you can see.. they stated "Kuala Lampur" lol.. Not Malaysia..

  • I lived in Singapore, and its public transportation is excellent. Not only the MRT, but the bus system is incredible. You can get from practically anywhere in the country to practically any other place in the country in two simple transfers or less.
