@chinesemusicDJ I live in the South, there are so many zealot rednecks so it has never changed in this part of the States. Some parts of the South are worse than others. Otherwise, you are right about the culture of the rest of America changing. Here in Georgia, they are still dressing up in Civil War clothes, whining about losing the war to the North. It's actually pretty pathetic and embarrassing to see that.

lol Yeah the south is known for fried chicken and zealot/racist rednecks. Though I do fancy war re-enactments I think those in the south should lighten up on it. Seems like whenever I watch a program about a southern state, they almost always talk about civil war re-enactments. Just look at miss teen South Carolina, she really doesn't help the image in the south.

I am of Jamaican descent and don't sound Southern, so I can disown being Southern if I choose;-) Seriously, if you drive through Alabama or Mississippi heading towards Louisiana, it is like stepping back into time about 50 years. But I love Jamaica and the culture because it is a part of me. I am not culturally Southern...

Seriously, I would of thought every single one of them would have been taught in proper speech knowing that they'd be questioned. I was absolutely stunned when I heard her speech, I was kind of baffled by miss Philippines yesterday when she answered her question. It's as if she was stating she's infallible, and it wasn't very humbling which probably hurt her chances for winning.

@MissBibaDiva I too don't consider myself culturally American as I'm from England. But that's whats great about the USA. We're so culturally diverse and for the most part accepting of other cultures. But it's absolutely astonishing how religiously intolerant Americans are when you look at the Mosque near the twin towers. Even IF all Muslims wanted to build it there to show they we're triumphant against us, they have the rights to do so. It's disgusting how some Americans conduct themselves.

We we're talking about miss teen South Carolina, she wasn't saying that about miss Jamaica. Well.. It is a beauty contest, but then you have all those people that want internal beauty as well. Though I for the life of me, can't understand WHY miss Philippines was the runner up.. She severely lacks in the beauty department, not because of her ethnicity. She's just not attractive, mind boggling how she made it to the top 5.

I was watching the qualifyings for who would be repersernting Miss Jamaica in the late part of july/2010, although she is Astonishly Beautiful , when she was asked her Final question before she was choosen to be Miss Jamaica, her answer was akward that, I even felt embarass for her, If she has a chance of winning I hope her reps, work with her on her Public Speackin attributes Then I have no doubt that she will take the Crown from any contenders of Miss Universe....BIG UP JAMAICA
