He urges Arab rulers to "listen" to their people and respect their freedom of choice while he impudently confesses that he will fight with the government of Hamas even if it is the free choice of Palestinians. He is like: You Arabs, if you agree with me in marginalizing your religion, we have a democracy. If not, you are heading toward extinction.

@Shinkowawa You misunderstood him. What he means is that he will oppose the religious state because it's based on a contradiction that would only lead to tyranny. His premise is that any totalitarian form of government leads to tyranny should be opposed. Islamic state is based on totalitarian ideology, which will inevitably result in tyranny, therefore, it should be opposed and he will oppose it for moral reasons.

@chechensky You can't eradicate religion nor is it necessary or morally acceptable to do so. What is needed is to separate religion from state, and at the same time uphold the freedom of religion with individuals.
