  • It's supposed to be a Trumpet solo

  • I am a clarinet player (an i'm 14) but i don't like this version, it's too fast, in our band we did it slower and it was beautiful.

  • i Remeber 7th grade when mmy band played this song ,

i sucked at it , but that wass because i had braces -.- but

then we played it at 200 i think? or 180, but yes it was fast lol

  • ya gotta luv the lady watching, the one whos dancing in her seat. hahaha =)

  • wooow u ppl that think ur experts news flash ur not so stop commenting unless r gunna say something nice not 2 critisise them they put this up 4 ur enjoyment not ur advice

  • We're (apparently) playing this for our Spring concert. It DOES say "Driving", "Fast!", and then "Faster", so I don't believe they were playing it too fast. And the flute solo wasn't "terrible." And I'd like to point out that it's not as easy as it looks or sounds. Geez, people. Be nice.

  • i wish my band was this good

  • that was a prom.. wow

  • Wayyy To fast...

  • Conductors having a seisure lol

  • Tuba and Euphonium!

  • from a musicians point of view this is. im the lead trumpeter in my high schools concert band and jazz band. we play this exact version in concert band. we played this at a competition and was named best band there. you guys played this way to fast in the beggining, there is supposed to be a tempo change at bar 75 but i cant pick it up cause its already going at like 150 bpm. tuning is kinda out the window, and the trumpets need to just pump it out, this song is heaven for high trumpets.

  • Some of the instruments are out of tune... but thumbs up to you guys, Great job :-D

  • that was way too fast and the flute solo was terrible

  • @alcgda i think they wanted to be like dash

  • 0:41

  • i have a ask...

mmmmmm, i play the clarinet and i want to play this piece but i have a problem in a part of the score, (1:49 minute) i don't know how to play this part, i don't understand how to make the efect with my clarinet, i hope you are reading my post and i woul'd like you answer me please :)

    thank you

  • @troyanouecv what is the problem?

  • @DiamondMedia100

i don't understand the sign is like a trill?

in my sacore it can see two notes (in the part i told you 1:49 minute) Ab and C, between that's notes there are 3 lines and i dont know how to play them... is like a trill?

  • @troyanouecv yer should be like one. start with then go down or up to c, depending on which c it is. Go up every semitone really quickly

  • Jesus, this sucked so much.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahaha .............ha HES GOING WAAAY TO FAST (crazy old man) lol

  • :/ its too fast and kinda sloppy but its still good. :]

  • that conductor lost a couple pounds after this.. lol

  • to the people that are in giant marching bands who win everything imaginable how many people in your band do you actually KNOW? how much of your equipment do you have to work for? how much respect are you shown? i come from a band who has to work to get money to pay for horns, music, equipment, ect., who love what they do, who work as a team, who have to EARN respect, and are like family. though we may not score the highest all the time, winning isn't everything.

  • @orcinus74 haha, right there with ya mate.

  • @orcinus74 wow of course winning isn't everything....but its a hell of a lot better then...not winning so good luck with that "we are a family bs"

  • @buscit321 as a marching band, we are a family. it isnt "bs."

  • @orcinus74 i agree!

  • @orcinus74 just because you have to work to get stuff doesn't mean your band can't be good. All band are like families.

  • doesnt sound good without screamers =/

  • ya waaaay to fast thats why the part are sloppy i have this song im a conductor and the beginnng 3 measures are supposed to be 100 tempo thats slow then you speed up to like 120 tempo wow he needs to go back to collage

  • Some parts a little sloppy but otherwise good job

  • i give them an A for effort

  • We play this too, I think it's arranged by Jay Bocook. Only in the end is a little part in 5/4.

  • Comment removed

  • This is supposed to be written in 5/4 most of the time. It starts in 4/4 then goes to 5/4. Good job though. Which arrangement is this?

  • So glad I finally found a video of this at a fast tempo. Awesome job.

  • im in eighth grade and we play this song...its fricken HARD! lol we call it the impossibles

  • THATS SO FAST !

    great job !

  • lol the conductor is in red

  • HOLY SHT THATS FAST AS FK

  • Written Alto Solo is written.

  • I LOVE the Alto solo! They did a good job.

  • This is a great piece! I actually played it in my band as well!

  • was it good

  • Whats the tempo?

  • the director su

re got muscle cramp , moving so fast , LOL

  • ALTO IS AWESOME IN THIS!

  • Fail trumpet is fail.

  • not that good

  • This isn't too fast! It's the same tempo as it is in the score!

Maybe all the rest of you just played it too slow....

  • Great Theme!

  • that trumpet growl was pathetic

  • stick to your guitars.

  • good job. now try it marching with 150 people. My marching band won first place 4 times, with an amazing soloist on trumpet and soloist on saxophone, myself. :P and we played it about this speed.

  • First place in what? Quit trying to show off. My school's band, The Londonderry Lancers Marching Band is made up of at least 360 musicians every year. We placed 1st in New York City in the last few years. We also went to China and Obama's Inaugural parade.

  • My hat's off to you. But to rosellcm... Not so much...

  • Much respect! :D That's awesome

  • so fast

  • i think they played it at a good speed, i've played this with them before and its starts quite fast and keeps getting faster.

    Well done NOW

  • dude we played this but way slower

  • i smell mess up

  • medal of honor soundtrack is awesome too!!

  • alright but abit out of tune.

  • MAN. SO many parts are out of tune. My band played this before, and really...

  • Ya i have the music here in front of me, im a sax player, and lucky me, i get to play that lovely solo. its 9 bars, but still pretty tough

  • Comment removed

  • yeah, kind of fell apart at places.

    What level are these players?

    (high school, junior high, etc.)

  • they played well for there size but your right thats to fast for my liking

  • @0sirhc9 its supposed to be fast. idiot.

  • playin this in a concert on friday, but not that fast :L even though it sounds good at that speed cos thats the proper speed :L i love this piece :)

  • its good but why is it fast its kinda weird how its all fast

  • gah... needs way more trumpet.

alto sax player is awesome... the band needs to sound fuller though

  • That's well done! Made me laugh! In a good way.

    Good show

  • ahaha i was right!

damn my director, we were going way to slow.

  • very nice bbut the tuba is to low... but the rest is very good:]

  • the solo at 0:44 is awesome, what instrument is it? an alto sax? plz tell me its an alto sax!

  • yes it is

  • our band is trying to do this song, but somehow i know it'll turn out bad, i wish we could play this good

  • you should have heard the werribee concert band in melbourne do it last year... freakin sweet. totally pisses on this

  • ambe7147 can i have the notes for the alto sax solo please

  • does anybody know the notes for the alto sax solo please respond

  • i have the score for that song if anyone wants it er somethin.

    =]]]]

this is just wat i needed because im trying out for drum major tomarrow=P

this i the song im suposed to be doin.

    thanks alot =]

    p.s. thats the right tempo

  • far too fast! it loses something that fast and it sounded wrong that fast like they messed up way too much for profesionals and should know if they can't take a song that fast, DON'T!

  • This is what I got from what you just wrote... "Hi, I'm a hater, I hate everyone who is better than me and can do something I can't. So instead of giving credit where credit is due, I will instead bash this great performance with my low meaningless words."

This is not too fast, it's just right, that's the tempo I played it when I was in 9th grade and the crowd loved it.

  • doesn't mean its any good

  • that was soooooooo cool!!!! im playin this for my concert, but im a 7th grade trombonist, this shall be hard, anyway.... AWSOME!!! that was soooooo cool!!!

  • im a trombonist too =]

    but im in 10th...

and im trying out for drum major for next year. and this is my audittion song.

    =]]]]]

  • we played that in music, i did the sax solo and nailed it.

  • boahh des video is ja mal saugeil wie die des spieln echt!!! RESPEKT

  • im sorry. no offence. but the band isnt playing very well at some parts. you might need to work on that a little

  • Bravo!

  • Wow that sax solo is so hard, we are playing this song in band and that dude raped it.

  • That solo isn't that hard at all.

Btw, if you're curious... the notes for that on an Alto Sax (Eb) are:

    F G G# G F D F G G F High D High C G# G F D C Low G# G Low G# C D F

The beginning notes are High, but it would look even more confusing with High in front of every note so I just put it there for the notes that are featured as a high and a low octave. Have fun playing :)

  • weird conductor \o/

  • woahh a little too fast. lol

    but good i guess,

  • What kind of music is this called?

Idk haha but this kind of music reminds me of banks and heists

  • Jazz

  • HAHA!

    =D

  • it's funny reading though all the comments and saying that's really fast when it's actually not really fast and the conductor has a weird way of conducting. personally, i played bout that fast as well an di like his style. deff. top two.

  • no whats funny is the fact that it really is too fast hahahah

  • have you ever played the music or watched the movie?

  • i played it

  • as well as i. and i'm guessing you never watched the movie? it was pretty awesome. but yeah, it's like the same tempo though.

  • i have the score for this song...

    yeah its that fast.

  • wow, i played this song for my school band.

i do not think it was this fast.

  • Watch the movie. It was about the same tempo as it appeared in the movie and on the album.

  • i have the score for this song...

    yeah its that fast.

  • i have the score for this song...

    yeah its that fast.

  • my marching band is doing this its gonna be sweet but were small school

  • lmao the conduter goes crazy

  • wow, my band has only 3 clarinets, but we have 9 altos, 6 tenors and 2 baritones xD, nice playing

  • so how do u conduct 5/4 in cut time? ^o)

  • its supposed to b that fast

  • WTF if the conductor is gonna go that fast, conduct in cut-time. Christ.

  • I played this song and it goes that fast...

  • From what I watched, and experienced most conductors remain in common time rather than switching.

  • I think what Kwizzel is referring to is the speed of the conductor's hands, not the tempo of the piece.

If he isn't, then he is a n00b because it is not too fast.

  • the conductor looks so funny becuz he is conducting it soooo fast and he looks crazy

  • Was the conductor high? It doesn't go that fast, and his conducting style was almost impossible to follow.

  • it is spose be that fast.

  • nooooooo

  • At 1:21, when we played The Incredibles Theme in our jazz band, our drummer did a huge rimshot on count 4 of that pausing measure. It was so amazing, and I can't seem to find a cover where someone does that. Anyone know what I mean?

  • yea i know wut u mean...the drummer for our band does the same thing

  • J'veux la jouer!!!

  • i WILL comment on how well they played considering the director was going so F-in fast

  • the drummer totally got messed up in the begining...i would know since i play drum set part too...

  • WAY TOO FAST

  • this song is supposed to be fast but i think you guys rushed it in parts. Either way, it's still good

  • Our band is playing this song for our Spring Concert (the reason why I looked it up) ;^3

  • omg same! wait, is the concert called the Spring Spectacular?

  • My band is playing this too... lol

  • ours too lol

  • ours too...

    tomorrow actually.

  • OURS TOO!!! acctually TONIGHT AT 7 haha

  • * En valser!

  • OUWKUT t kan niet nog wat sneller he!

  • Très bonne musicalité et très très bon tempo

  • I love the bassline!

  • i love the intense bassline from the lower section. our band did this chart but not very consistently good. but playing low brass in this piece is just too fun

  • I've wanted to play the music in this movie for so long!!!

  • funny but good conductor!

  • I think Our Band Does it better

  • conductor is top class

  • nice alto solo...

  • Nice job! I think the best part of the performance is the excitement generated. Reading the comments...How can anyone think this is too fast?? He is conducting it right at the tempo it's played in the soundtrack...I'm currently trying to arr. this for one of my groups...Is this Jay Bocooks arr.?

  • yes, he is the arranger for it.

  • it doesnt sound good sorry it might be the audio recording but not good.

  • man you guys are good we are playing this song in my symphonic band but we don't play nearly as fast as you guys do or for the most part good as you

  • they're not good i played that too and our tempo was same and it was much better

and the first time the alto sax arent good and then the clarinette(?) solo that is suppose to be alto saxophone's solo

  • AWESOMENESS!

  • holly!!! dang you guys are good!!!!!!!!!! we are playing it at my school but MUCH slower!!!!!!!!!

  • My kids play that fast and thei're just in secondary 2 ;)

I really like this song ^^

  • Dude, the conductor is changing speeds on the band. I blame him. But the band is awesome :)

  • Thank you for your comments. The speed changes are indeed indicated in the score! I take all the BLAME for that! What do you play? Do you conduct?

  • I used to be in a high school band and played alto sax and percussion. We were taught to always look at the conductor to determine which speed to play at depending on the jumps of his baton. Your tempo kept changing and wasn't consistent and if you listen closely, it's too fast for the band too.

  • As I have already said The speed CHANGES are IN THE SCORE, your close observance is correct there. But your analasis is TOTALLY wrong... It's NOT TOO fast for the band.

  • It's too fast if they don't sound good. I have played and CONDUCTED this very arrangement, and the tempo changes are in the score, but conductors have the duty of properly interpreting the music and deciding where and when a change is necessary. Your conducting is a very inconsistent.

  • Have you got your band on youtube so I can see what you mean? I would like to see your conducting...

Your conducting is a very inconsistent. - VERY inconsistant with what?

  • In any case part of a conductors job - iS to 'change speeds on the band' isn't it? iF HE CAN'T SURELY THE BAND LACKS TRAINING!

  • You're making yourself look like an ass. Rowelle and BlueOne are right. You should have taken the critisism when it was constructive. I usually don't make it a point to comment on videos negatively because you can't go back and change a video but you could do a few of these things: Tuck in your shirt and don't look like such a slob. When you're done how about stepping to the side and acknowledging your band for being able to follow your crazy (not clear) conducting style.

  • i'm not even going to debate your tempo. whats been said has been said. And chill out man people are going to critisize, but the way you handle it is very poor and you'll get eaten alive on youtube for it.

Yes i conduct, and have to observe and critique a variety of different people conducting on a regular basis.

  • The conductor doesn't look nice conducting.

  • I think he has a unique conducting style, but if you look closely, he gives cues to everyone in his band, they're subtle, but he does it. As long as the band is familiar with his conducting, why is it such a problem with you???? This is like a 9 out of 10 in difficulty, and these guys are playing almost perfect!!

  • whoa there where problems with the tempo this is a little off but all in all u did a pretty good job

  • There are no problems with tempo. The speeds indicate in they score. I started the band from scratch 18 monthe before this concert. With only a few minutes to rehearse this I would naturally be more energetic to make sure speeds were maintained.

  • There are about 6 tempo changes, and to me, they were all consistent and stong. That's what makes this piece more challenging. And if you're comparing to the movie, go watch it again just to be sure

  • all in all this band did great =)

  • i play the sax for this song in my high school and its a pretty easy solo once you know the sixteenth notes

  • The tuba's in this are fuck-me-amazing lmao

  • You're right - it's way too fast!

I guess the conductor hasn't watched the film or listened to the Soundtrack?

  • Hey Jon Trombone, thanks for comment it made me smile. Are you in the UK? If your near us why not get in contact? I was following the score tempi - it is very fast 200 beats per minute in the final section...

  • would you rather go from the soundtrack or the score??!!

  • great job but its a little up tempo

  • Hi thanks for your comment. Tempo can be a little subjective, but this sort of music is better too fast than too slow unless it's much too fast!! which I don't think it is....

  • we played this song in our 2006 show

  • haha my middle school played this the year I left, :( they said it was raelly fun playing this. I envy them

  • Its a great vid - a few of the clarinet notes sound a bit scatty but i know this is a challenging piece for some. Fab Saxophonist!!!

  • veel te snel gespeeld!! eerst eens gaan luisteren hoe de filmmuziek gespeeld word en daarna zelf doen!

  • i played this at my school. i play the flute. but at first we were like lost after a couple of notes, so we had to practice so long! it's a good song to play, though.

  • why would you speed the video up?

  • ????????

Why would I want to speed the video up? - I have no idea how to do speed up a video anyway!

But NOW plays this fast because I like it that way.

    Don't you like it fast?
