Right place right time. they wanted about one hundred extras most of which were scouted around the area and had no acting expierience... like me.... They paid me an my brother 800 Baht to work two nights on the water festival scene (on the directers cut) and yes we all hit the cutting room floor. Oh well good times. Danny Boyle was a gentlemen and signed my 20 Baht note which I got laminated and still have, hehe.

Reason why is because it's a Remix of the song. Blur has two of those remixes on their album Bustin' + Dronin'. The tracks are On Your Own (Crouch End Broadway Mix) and On Your Own (Walter Wall Mix).

The bit I missed in this film that didn't make it from the book was where Richard gets lost in the underwater caves. Of course you can't fill a film with the less exciting stuff, but my favorite parts from the book was the day to day life, and the little work gangs they split into.
