u'll see that 12 mp is just build in for stupid ppl to buy that..

and since u need 12 mp only for printing high quality photos its obsolete to have that much in a phone

@Sty1a Well N8 takes better pictures than 12 mp digital camera prized max 200 euros so your argument is invalid. N8 doesn't just have high resolution camera, its sensor is bigger than in most digital cameras.

In fact the sensor is at least as important for the image quality as lens and in that respect N8 is so much better than all the other phones, that you can call it first real camera phone.

I have prints from my old 1MP 6680 and from my current 5MP N95. At 10x15cm print size, there is no difference in quality. At 20x30 both look ok, but shit compared to my DSLR (21MP).

There is no real gain with increasing the megapixel count. All you do is increase file size, noise and then you have to add more noise reduction, which eats away detail. It's all about marketing.

Think of a camera with a pot lid instead of a lens. It doesn't matter if it's 8MP or 1MP, if the optics and sensor suck.

There would be little to no difference in image quality between 5, 8 and 10 on a device like this. MP only count if you plan on blowing the image size up. It's all about the power of the flash and the quality of the lens.

Never been a fan of Carl Zeiss mobile lens though.
