nicely done my friend i love that finger style my passion was to always learn the orginal classical style of guitar i love all music but classical guitar is truly the best for me =) my favorite guitar player is anders segovia
I think it would be nice to play the tune once through very slowly at the beginning, as Martin Taylor does with some tunes. Then play it with the strong rhythm as you do there. What do you think?
@KellyValleau I think what he was trying to suggest was introducing the percussions/rhythm later on into the arrangement. Personally I like how you just jump right into it.
@chandin69 He learns the song by ear but it takes him a while to put the notes together and memorize it. Arrangements of songs need extra work done to them if you want to make them sound interesting. Sure, if Kelly has a good ear he could probably play along straight away but may sound a little dull.
@MrFaulconbridge thats what my guess was as well. Im trying to learn his/naudo/iggypres style. they all share the same style. I can get the melody and the rhythm to a certain extent but doing the bass notes with the thumb while keeping the rhythm and the melody going makes it pretty complicated and i lose sync. Are you one of his students btw?
@chandin69 I was subscribed to his site for his lessons about 2 months ago but i try to learn just by watching and listening now. Tablature is great but try not to use to too much. What impresses me about Kelly is his percussive techniques. It really brings the arrangement alive but I find it hard to do the bass drum and play notes at the same time.
Just keep practicing for the melody/B/rhythm !!!. Some songs are harder than others. Billie Jean can be pretty tough because of the funky bass line
@lilmark816....it's a House guitar, from luthier Josh House. Josh makes outstanding guitars. I can't thank him enough for letting me record with them. I've got this one with cherry/spruce and a second with monkeypod/spruce
check out my drum cover of this song!

You and Gareth Pearson should do a duet with this song. The pure power of the jam might blow the mics up though

@KellyValleau lol, no mate I meant as an idea for an arrangement.
You could play once through slowly and without any particular rhythm, then go into the version you play above
Just a thought
