The graphics of the original set the mood perfectly. No need to tinker with them, everything about the original is perfect as is, not everything needs to be updated every 10 years. I disagree strongly. After X it kinda went downhill, x2 was iffy with all that chickyness goin on but even so I wanted a better ending for x before x2 was released, and honestly the gameplay was not so bad, I enjoyed it myself. XI, I did not like at all. Not only the fact I was on WOW and I could've afforded it if I wanted to, the graphics were Shit and it wasn't attracting me at all. XII was alittle bit of a letdown, I was expecting more of a X feeling but they just HAD to ruin the atb system

Does it prove people care for those games? No it doesn't it just proves that the developers cared and that's pretty much it.

It's like with the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time: It sold well because a link to the past was so good, and any subsequent Zelda was selling much less, because OoT wasn't that great. FFVII might have still been good but not the best RPG of all time, and certainly not better than it's predecessors.

I can honestly tell you guys, if they do end up remaking it, it won't really be the same game. SquareEnix is going to risk it, for money's sake, they'll change little bits of everything from their view if it doesn't look natural on a PS3 port. If they're going to remake it, it'll be on the PS3/PS4 and having the same format from the PS1 won't work, and trust me, they won't just make FF7 an exact remake with improved graphics.
This is the one RPG that I play on regularity. I have numerous saves that max out the, "loser" time meter. I even play it at work during tech support. I just wish they kept with the game mechanic though; every thing after 7 is garbage.

i think they remade the other FF games they released for the DS was simply cause it was most cost effective to do. They had to remake everything to build the game, but it's a DS game, not nearly as trying as putting together a PS3 game.This is NOT saying they shouldn't, they totally should procure the team and resources needed to remake this classic game. If they sold it for $80, people would buy it. At the very least, it's a 70 hr game, it's worth it. If they give a shit, they will remake it.

Oh FF7. It was the first game I ever gave a shit about enough to buy a damn strategy guide. How I would love a remake for 6 and 7. Two of the best games ever. Unfortunately SE would rather spend their time making sequels to fail factories like 13 and turning Dragon Quest into MMOs and making us pay monthly fees. Oh, and my personal favorite fail, the new music game. Good job there Square-Enix. I don't know who I hate worse right now, SE for ruining FF for me or Capcom for axing Megaman Legends3.

I can honestly tell you guys, if they do end up remaking it, it won't really be the same game. SquareEnix is going to risk it, for money's sake, they'll change little bits of everything from their view if it doesn't look natural on a PS3 port. If they're going to remake it, it'll be on the PS3/PS4 and having the same format from the PS1 won't work, and trust me, they won't just make FF7 an exact remake with improved graphics.

Hell, I even have a hard copy of the game I found by accident along with Final Fantasy IX. It was even a Greatest Hits verison of FFVII. The people at Square Enix love messing with the fans.

FFX was good, I enjoyed and it being on the Vita is pretty cool. But come on, the fans are wanting FF7 and SE is basically saying Fuck you to the fans. i think they remade the other FF games they released for the DS was simply cause it was most cost effective to do. They had to remake everything to build the game, but it's a DS game, not nearly as trying as putting together a PS3 game.This is NOT saying they shouldn't, they totally should procure the team and resources needed to remake this classic game. If they sold it for $80, people would buy it. At the very least, it's a 70 hr game, it's worth it. If they give a shit, they will remake it.

Oh FF7. It was the first game I ever gave a shit about enough to buy a damn strategy guide. How I would love a remake for 6 and 7. Two of the best games ever. Unfortunately SE would rather spend their time making sequels to fail factories like 13 and turning Dragon Quest into MMOs and making us pay monthly fees. Oh, and my personal favorite fail, the new music game. Good job there Square-Enix. I don't know who I hate worse right now, SE for ruining FF for me or Capcom for axing Megaman Legends3.
