Just realized i was watching this (my fav video ever) on the anniversary of your posting it...i probably added it a year ago and i was seriously inspired by it~always loved Father Corapi~i was raised protestant~wanted to be a protestant minister until my Mother rediscovered her catholic faith and told me of our Lady's role in the Church and the rosary which made me the Christian i had always struggled to be...i was confirmed catholic last Easter...and spent this spring and summer in monestary ;)
I am entering the convent in about a hundred days and this video is so inspiring. I hope to live for bishops and priests who are unworthy of their vocation and to sanctify the clergy
@AstigCentenG I am in the seminary. Don't be afraid to say yes! It is an experience beyond all others, and even though there may be difficulties God sees the big picture and it is wonderful!
The Catholic priesthood is greatest of all. However, the new 1969 rite of Ordination does not consacrate a real Catholic priest at all. It is a false protestant,Lutheran pseudo-sacrament, and this ruined almost the entire Catholic Church, resulted in today's "Catholic" Novus ordo vatican II sect. Their ordination is not valid. Their Masses are not valid, because they have rejected as a whole the Tridentine Tradition which is the ONLY VALID one, Jesus Christ Himself has founded.
@Seakinnfiendin oh no, the Mass of st.Pius V was in fact a simplification, because too many personal devotions were mixed in. It's the very same Mass the apostle's celebrated. Only in 1968 was the Mass radically changed and made invalid, it's called the Novus Ordo Mass.
@rooizilver Obviously you do not know much about liturgical development. For example, compare the Mass of Paul VI with the Mass of St. Hyppolyte of Rome.
The apostles surely celebrated mass, but obviously not the Mass of Pius V, or the dominican rite, or the carthusian rite, or the ambrosian rite.
If you want to, we may - of course - discuss sedevacantism, but - please - on a more elevated level.
@Seakinnfiendin yes, i do. The chair of st.Petre will always be protected, but it is possible that anti-Pope's pretend to occupy the holy see. Because we 're approaching the End, it is possible that for a short time, it will be uncertain as who or where the Pope is. I can not but conclude that JPII, and also the present Ben XVI don't seem to follow catholic doctrine. i believe the real Pope after Pius XII was Gregory XVII (Joseph Cardinal Siri), and he died in 1989. His successor we don't know.
@rcarnes1988 yes. There is a lot of corruption, but the Church remains the Church. I don't agree with the beatification of JPII, simply because it's Opus Dei politics, and has nothing to do with Woytila's alleged "holiness". The real Pope has been suppressed somewhere down the line. What we see on television is the counter-Church, predicted by Anne-Catherine Emmerich.
@rcarnes1988 The Church has always undergone rough waters. The Arian heresy, the persecution during Imperial Rome, the decadence of the faithful and clergy during the early middle ages, the so-called Reformation and modernism today.....she is in perpetual combat. What happened on Holy Thursday when the apostles were consecrated bishops? The ran away, with St Peter denying Jesus and Judas betraying Him. The deficiencies of her members can never negate her holiness.
Thank you all so much for your response to Jesus! My saying yes to religious life wouldn't be possible without your saying yes to the priesthood. Thank you and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I can't wait until the day that I am ordained a Priest of the Sacred Heart. Please pray for all priestsand those who feel that they may have a vocation to the priesthood.
Pray for our Priests, for the Ordination of new Priests, that they may neevr loose their faith for they are our shephards, if the shephard is lost who is left to guied?
AWESOME Video!! thats Fr. Corapi's voice if anyone didnt know.
Wao..thank you Lord for the gift of your Church and that of the priesthood. Bless all your priests and lead them always Lord. I love you Lord, I love your Church, Amen
There is NOTHING unbiblical about the Catholic priesthood, it is the EXACT same as that of Jesus: the priest stands in persona Christi serving as an insturment of his sacramental grace.
Thank you for the video! I'll never forget when I was on retreat with Archbishop Flynn and he said "If I had a hundred lives to live I would live all of them as a Catholic priest." Jesus Himself said "The harvest is great but the laborers are few, pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the harvest." Jesus, give us good and holy priests!!!
If you examine the context of Matthew 23 carefully you will see that Jesus did not intend for his words to be understood literally. Not only was Father mentioned but also rabbi (teacher) and master. It appears Jesus may be prohibiting the use of the term teacher but Christ himself appointed certain men to be teachers in his Church: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matt. 28:19-20)
@hininga28 Oh really take a read in your Bible of the words of St. Paul,Acts 7:2,7:38-39,21:40;22:1 Romans 4:16-17, I Cr 4:14-15, I Thes 2:11,I Tim 1:2,Titus 1:4, Philem 1:10 and I John 2:13-14. How many times is Abraham called Father in both the new and old testament? On your birth certificate, what is the term used for the man who sired you? Isn't it Father.
I know God is calling me to the priesthood... i just know it... and I've been struggling with this... please pray for me... so I will have the courage to tell my family that I'm no loger persuing my career as a respiratory therapy, but pursuing the priesthood
I simply couldn't stop listoning. who, ever made this videa, I thank you for I have never been so captivated by that words of one person, I have never felf so vivified in the name of the lord, though be it i may never be worthy of being a saint may God help me and ALL young men to find their way to christ and let us become his servents! I know, we know what we must do!
Well done Fr. Corapi. I have heard many of your talks and teachings. This will be your Hall Mark. God bless you always. Many including myself are walking on your path, the path of our King, eternal God, Jesus Christ.
