what a great series. Been a Pens fan for a very long time and this honestly made my year. I have to say that they barely scraped by though. Detroit is still the cream of the crop, we had a couple of momentum changers that won it in the end was all. I'm not sure if Detroit would win a series 9 out of 10 times, but this time made at least my year....maybe 5 years. I really hope we have a chance to play the wings again in the finals, I couldn't wait from game to game.

While it's true they do, on that night they were killing his team and he got pissy when I told him to look at the scoreboard. The more he talked shit, the more I gave it right back. I'm a lifelong diehard Wings fan, I used to talk a lot of shit but the Pens beat us. Hands down. We were lucky to make it that far. Malkin proved to be a monster and took over the series. I'm 23 years old and I am a hometown Wings fan that attends 10-15 games a year and I can honestly say that the new generation of Wings fans have a tough time accepting anything but victory. what a great series. Been a Pens fan for a very long time and this honestly made my year. I have to say that they barely scraped by though. Detroit is still the cream of the crop, we had a couple of momentum changers that won it in the end was all. I'm not sure if Detroit would win a series 9 out of 10 times, but this time made at least my year....maybe 5 years. I really hope we have a chance to play the wings again in the finals, I couldn't wait from game to game.

wow first of all chill out, it's just a game. second of all i'm a Habs fan and i don't think i need to mention the number of cups the Habs have won. i do really like the Wings though. and sure that series was won fairly but i don't think it was a very decisive series. game 7, 2-1 game where if one shot [Kronwall's] had gone it probably would have gone to overtime. and the Red Wings in overtime with momentum at home, need i say more? they probably would've won the game.

While it's true they do, on that night they were killing his team and he got pissy when I told him to look at the scoreboard. The more he talked shit, the more I gave it right back. I'm a lifelong diehard Wings fan, I used to talk a lot of shit but the Pens beat us. Hands down. We were lucky to make it that far. Malkin proved to be a monster and took over the series. Congrats on a hard fought win. Hopefully this rivalry stays healthy these two teams can hook up a few more times in the finals. Enjoy the summer, it goes by fast.

I'm truly sorry that I'm the first. I'm 23 years old and I am a hometown Wings fan that attends 10-15 games a year and I can honestly say that the new generation of Wings fans have a tough time accepting anything but victory. We've been spoiled for so long that defeat seems impossible. Regardless, here's to the birth of a true inter-conference rivalry. See you guys next June for another battle!

Did it ever occur to you that 7 of the Red Wings Stanley cups came BEFORE the Penguins even existed. Not to take those seven away from you red wing fans but it hardly seems fair to say that you are the better team when the wings have been around 40 or so years longer than the Pens. Since the Pens were created in the sixtys, you have only one more cup win then we do. If we were created at the same time as the Red wings, We would probably have just as many Cup wins as you guys.
