Now, is this setting as large as the armies can be? cause i'm curious as to how they made so many units, in the show Decisive Battles that used to air on the history channel. There had to be thousands of soldiers on the field at once, is that possible in game?

Fighting the entire battle without a general is like fighting without a crutch.

The thing is that you REALLY need that crutch to prevent your own units from routing too early.

And that is what I find so amazing about this particular battle.

@rocknrolla360 the general unit is MUCH stronger than other units and if a unit is fighting alond side of them then they will almost never route unless there is only like 2 left...oh and if the general unit goes into a fight then he will usually fight to the death as well.

My point is that alive and fighting general would be quite helpful as the units with lower morale(due to losses sustained or other reasons) would keep fighting instead of routing and thus help to win a battle..... but then again, I am a n00b, what the hell do I know :)

The romans kind of remind me of the U.S. today. They started out somewhat pure, with a simple goal to bring equal rights to all citizens. Then, as they grew more powerful and became a huge power, politicians became corrupt, self-worth was based more on money rather than morales, etc. and they became a bloodthirsty empire. They changed from the defenders of liberty to the destroyers of liberty.

Yeah, the noob square is easily beaten. I've even beaten the Noob Square playing as the Gauls. And I did it without missiles.

But if you want an easy way to kill the noob circle, just use your archers/slingers intelligently. Easy.
