@tamithomas - Adrian Lewis was never in the BDO, this was a unifying event called International Darts League which doesn't run anymore.

But I think it would be good if they could unify both divisions, PDC and BDO, but Hearne wants to buy it from Olly Croft too cheaply, and considering BDO is where it all started in the 70s, I think Hearne should wake up.

alexnzx, I have a eclipse pro and blade 3 board but i dont think theres much difference. Yes i agree that the eclipse trebles and doubles are slightly bigger but not by much.....I know not one PDC player will admit to it but I have had a chat to a few of em and they have admitted that they are(no names mentioned) slightly bigger.

PDC takes all the BDO players when they're ready to move up. They chose to switch for better competition and better money. Not their fault the BDO can't keep their players. There are some good BDO players that are just happy to be a big fish in a small pond.

Just look at the Grand Slam of Darts. The BDO boys fail miserably.

Sorry, thats just me getting a bit patriotic.

The reality is, I think that if Tony went to the PDC he may be like a kind of Whitlock guy, Whitlock avgd 93 in his last BDO Final and then ended up getting an average of 100 in the PDC, Is it because the trebles and doubles are 30% bigger?. I recently got the eclipse pro and I have been hitting twice as many T20's as I was with the Blade 3.

yeah most players have been in the bdo TAYLOR was, it not no where near the standard of the pdc, you can win a match with a 80plus average in the bdo, you need high 90s and 100 averages in the pdc

Just to let you know, I play Wednesday night charity league darts, and we use the EXACT same dart board height and ocky distance as the professionals. The dart board has to be exactly 5'8" (5 foot, 8 inches) above the floor (to the centre of the bullseye) and the outermost edge of the ocky has to be exactly 7'9 1/4" (7 foot 9 1/4 inches) away from the face of the dart board.
