@Cupcom5 Agreed. I'd say PS2 got the rough end of the deal, what with VF4 being the only, really noteworthy game worth having for the system (I know there was NightShade and Shinobi, but...yeah). Even Gamecube had its fair share of classics; Monkeyball and F-ZERO GX are essential. But Xbox really had the cream of the crop: Outrun, Panzer, Jet Set, Shenmue, the almighty GUNVALKYRIE...man, it made you think maybe Sega WERE better off out of the hardware race.

Then Sammy came along. :-(

TIP:: To tired to unlock all the cars by completeing stages!?! (me to!) go to Outrun missions then press "Gallery" Go to enter code and turn on the CAPS and type in DREAMING it unlocks all the cars.

and type in NINETEEN86 (in caps) To play the regular arcade Outrun!

Actually its an arcade game, ported to the XBOX, no change in graphics. Identicle port. It was ported a year and a half later.

And damn the drivers pretty freaking awesome, I was about that good, (definately at the drifting) when i used to live round the corner from one of the arcades with these in. 1st on each highscore table. Good times, good times.

C'mon, you don't expect Sega to release another outrun title resembling the old classic ones do you? Throughout the years the gamers have demanded more from Sega and so they figured they'd add new features and take some features out in order for the gamers to experience something new but at the same time keeping the drifting thingy going again. PPL have complained that OutrunSP wasn't much different to Outrun2 and so now Sega has improved a bit

From experience, drifting slows you down a bit, so the less drift the faster you shall go. But drifting is quite fun :)

take it from me that was with a steering wheel

being an outrun 2 live player back in the day believe me there is no fucking way you can hold ur lines that well with a pad.

i used to race with this guy and all the other top racers on the leaderboard and they ALL used steering wheels and after that we didnt stand a chance. i came in the top 10 in a few of the courses but couldnt keep up with the wheel players at all. they were all damn good outrun 2 live players.

If this game was played with a steering wheel then i'd say great job, but if you used a normal controller then, not so great.

Driving games have to be played with steering wheels otherwise it wouldn't be the same plus it affects gameplay too, but practice makes perfect :D

you miss the point in time trial racing. its about perfecting your line, keeping the highest speed trough the corners. if done with a wheel, you get what you see above. this game is the pinacle in arcade gameplay (my opinion), but to bad i dont have a proper wheel, so i will have to use the pad.
