  • Nice little documentary! Good video pans and photos. I really liked the transition of Crazy Horse's face.

  • uncle abey!

  • Is nothing sacred...? How would you like it if somebody exploited and descrerated your church? These sites, such as Bear Butte, Harney Peak, Devil's Tower, and Wind Cave are all tied into the sacred lore of many tribes. The Hills are like the Isreal of Native Americans, it is their Bible. I know many people appreciate the wonders of these enchanted hills, and many people profit from them. I know nothing is or can be done to correct it. All i ask is, how can this be beautiful or sacred anymore?

  • Crazy horse face looks Scary as Fuck!!!!!!

  • I see enough place for Ron Pauls head on that!

  • @TheMrSpam What i was just thinking!! Ron Paul 2012

  • my daughter and her husband and 2 friends are coming out to mount rushmore in a week, it looks a beautiful place

  • correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it strange to have a sculpture of somebody who was fighting against the united states in the united states? It's like having a giant sculpture of Joseph Stalin

  • @0123456789Chucky ... do a little research.....the Crazy Horse Monument is a response to Mount Rushmore , which the US Govt built in the middle of the most sacred hills of the Native Americans, basically a big " fuck you " . There is no govt funding for the Crazy Horse site and in fact they have turned down offers of help from the US Govt. Crazy Horse wasn'f " fighting the United States" ..he was defending the land that his people had lived on for hundreds of years.

  • Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven image.

  • Rapid City fucking rules!!!!

  • thank you. that was nice of you to put this together.

  • 1 hiyiya, 2 hiyiya, 3 hiyiya!

  • Quite a marvel

  • I wonder if they'll ever finish it.

  • JOHN KENNEDY SHOULD BE PUT ON THE MOUNTAIN

  • @914light Give me a break you bum.

  • @914light - I watched last night on the history channel a show called DECODED and it showed where the guy who built and designed mt.rushmore was a leader of the knights of the ku klux klan. He built behind it a hidden door with a secret vault with documents written on slate about each president, himself, the declaration of independence and some more bullshit. No one is allowed to even get near it or know what secrets are written about it. More white american propaganda & hatred at it's finest.

  • @str8outtatexas1 I watched it too. I'm white, but still I've always felt a sense of sadness when I looked at the monument. My grandfather was 1/8 Native-American and I always thought about the Natives who would see this - that the land that was already beautiful and taken was being used for stuff like this as if it was always and only the white man's. After watching the show, I realized, WHY I always felt a sense of sadness.

  • @whitetigergrowl First of all suck my dick. You never read where i said i hate anything or anybody. Let me see just because i said "some more bullshit" you ASSUME i don't know what i'm talking about. Typical white behavior. You keep gulping down the GARBAGE america feeds you, but everyone knows it's straight bullshit. How do you discover a country that is already occupied with a culture? I'm not native american either. America is only 500 + yrs. old, & full of lies, deception & greed. FUCK YOU!

  • @whitetigergrowl -Yeah just because i wrote typical white behavior means i'm racist. NOT. I never said in one thing I wrote that america is bad. America is probably one of the greatest countries on this planet, but it has so many double standards & hidden sick history against minorities. I've been all over the world via the military & many people of different nationalities say the same thing about america, but our history books don't tell us that. there's no way you can believe half the garbage.

  • The Lakota were pushed from Minnesota by the Chippewa and moved into the plains. They killed and destroyed various tribes such as the Pawnee and took their land and claimed it as their own. Including the Black Hills. The Lakota were only in the plains and Black Hills about 100 years before the arrival of the white man. While many of the tribes they killed off were here thousands of years. But hey that history is less 'victimizing' so it should just get ignored right?

  • So, when will they EVER get the Crazy Horse Memorial done???

  • Seriously, this is just insulting. I'm a native girl myself and I hope everyday that some earthquake brings it down to a pile of rubble.

  • @Innkaris fuck off

  • I wonder if they ever even thought that they would be valued this much as to have a sculpture in the side of a mountain.

  • 3:35 Yeah, he's really breaking a sweat, can't wait to see that.

  • I'm going just for that entertainment.

  • richie rich made them look waaahey bigger..

  • 3:28 " Off course entertainment. Don't you just love how the man does all the work while the woman just bobs up and down. " You know what she has on her mind.

  • is she High!?!?!

  • I visited both a couple of years back.what you cant get from these pictures is the sheer size of Crazy Horse.the four presidents will easily fit on his cheek!

  • Thumbs up to put Obama up there!!!

  • @kingofallwhites bahahah no thumbs up for you.

  • @kingofallwhites Why? I'm not bashing him, I just don't understand why he should be up there. I think Benjamin Franklin deserves it more and he didn't presidency. Even Kennedy gets my vote.

  • @kingofallwhites you failed lol

  • Abe looks like elvis. :3

  • In a 1972 autobiography, Lame Deer, a Lakota medicine man, said: "The whole idea of making a beautiful wild mountain into a statue of him is a pollution of the landscape. It is against the spirit of Crazy Horse."

  • trust buster. bust this.

  • Americans were always crazy!!!!!!!!

    I love Americaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

  • @claudiobl6

are you willing to fight for it?

  • ahh been there like 10 times.......... its pretty awesome though

  • I want to go!

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU AS I AM A RAINBOWWARRIOR LIKE ALL THE VIDEO'S AVAILAVAILABE TO US. CALLING ALL RAINBOWARRIORS TO SEE.

THE WORD ' DAKOTA ' MEANS PEACE & HARMONY & I TEACH DAKOTA. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE VISIONS OF SITTLING BULL SEEING THE SOLDIERS UPSIDE DOWN CRAZY HORSE PERHAPS WOULDN'T HAVE HAD THE CONFINDENCE HE NEEDED AT THE BATTLE OF THE LITTLE BIG HORN. THERE WERE OVER 200O NATIVES WARRIOR'S AGAINST A MERE 250 OF CUSTER'S MEN. THE 7TH CALVARY! AN OBJECT LESSON FOR U TO SEE LOL

  • @Equestrian77 CRAZY HORSE IS NO DOUBT THE GREATEST CHIEF THERE WILL EVER BE BUT HE WAS JUST A CHIEF; SITTING BULL WAS A CHIEF & A MEDICINE MAN...SO THE STORY GOES..NOW U KNOW THE REST OF THE STORY AS TAUGHT TO ME BY A LAKOTA HORSEWOMAN WITH 175 HORSES & A GREAT GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER OF SITTING BULL..A RODEO RIDER...BRONC, BULLS & STOCK CONTRACTER.

HER NATIVE NAME WAS 'SHINING STAR' NAMED AFTER HER GREAT GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS A CHILD AT 8 YRS & AT THE BATTLE OF LITTLE BIG HORN ON JUNE 25...ETC.

  • Want to honor our Native Americans? GIVE BACK OUR SACRED LAND!!! Instead of putting the faces of the murderers responsible for the concentration camps they call "reservations" on our sacred mountain! I am NOT proud to be an American. This monument is a disgrace and anyone knowing ANYTHING about real history will agree. I'd like to see a few sticks of dynamite shoved up Washington's nose!

  • @WhiteStarWoman

Nothing and no one is forcing anyone to stay on the reservations. In fact many Natives live off them and are doing very well. And if you're not proud to be an American then why do you still live here? Just to collect a govt. check?

Fact is, you can think what you want but history cannot be changed. The lands will NEVER be given back. That would be like Rome asking for land back. Good luck. Because not even luck will help you.

  • @whitetigergrowl They can't even afford to heat their uninsulated shacks when it's -40 and buried in snow, what makes you think they have the money to pull up stakes and move to somewhere else? What an uninformed and small minded person. Look up Pineridge, Crow Creek, just about anywhere up there and see how little they have because of the government's program to keep them down.

  • @WhiteStarWoman

Well then explain how many MANY others have gotten off the rez and are doing well. I don't live very far from Pine Ridge. The fact many can make it to Rapid City and other cities in South Dakota shows they CAN get off the rez. The belief they can't is completely bogus. Many go to college, started businesses, etc. once they got off the Rez. It's called getting assistance like many others have done.

  • @WhiteStarWoman Fact is what have those on the rez done to better themselves? What have the tribes done to improve their lifestyle without govt. assistance? Casinos is one thing. But even then why is it even with multimillion dollar tribal casinos and the people on the rez working at them, they are still poor as dirt. Let's just call them life choices. Fact is, you can blame the govt. all you want. But look in the mirror at the same time you're doing it.

  • @whitetigergrowl like hitler said,"God can not change history, but thank God historians can." if someone wants to believe they are a victim of the gov't you can't really change his mind.

  • @cassidy99ful

Ya, and even if the gov't did treat them badly there nothing they could do, jajaja

  • @id493337 very true.

  • I live in the city where Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse are located :D. In fact I moved there almost a year ago. I see them all the time. They really are truly amazing sculptures. They are a delight to see. :) South Dakota is a BEAUTIFUL state! Especially the Black Hills. Its amazing how beautiful this small state is!!

  • ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • Dude ... this 3:52 video could've been completed in 2 minutes or less if only you'd spoken at a normal rate of speed. Just sayin.

  • @DelisaProductions 16 going on 17.

  • @etbella3 Are you talking 16 rounds with Bigdeezer?? Well, guys go to your adjacent corners and at the sound of the bell come out swinging........ding! ding!!

  • Crazy Horse is no further along now than when I saw it back in 1995. How could it look exactly the same now as it did then?

  • Lovely video; thanks for sharing with us this tremendous effort on the monument. I hope it will someday be completed.

  • Sacred mountain for the Indian people, just a tourist attraction for the white people

4 heads of white president just to mark who is the ruler of this land but do not mistake yourself things allwyas change as nothing is eternal.

  • haha the colosal 60 ft carvings. Translation: it's not worth the time to get off the highway to see. Just keep imagining it huge, and dont be disappointed the rest of your life.

  • Byl jsem tam dvakrat.Uchvatne!Great!

  • let's just be thankful for the people who had the balls to carve mt.rushmore because, god knows, there is no way something like that could ever be done today. Not only the cost of it but the emboldened indians of today would never allow it and the obama faschists would make sure the indians got what they wanted.

P.S.-defund the crazy horse memorial of any taxpayer money.

  • @rw5791 so ya... dont help us anymore.. not like you white dogs helped in the first place... only help you guys did, was help kill a nation and its people ... now thats something to be proud of huh?

  • @mesqua2 There is hope for you casino people.Since you originally walked here from asia, maybe when the chinese conquer america they make you the slave masters of the white people.

  • @rw5791 we may have crossed the land bridge... but this was over 20,000 years ago... how long has europe been populated? about 10,000 to 13,000 years? and by the way, the chinese are buying all the property you guys cant afford to pay for anymore.. this is something that every american should be afraid of... as it stands now, they own bridges, roads, school/office buildings... houses... you guys better get your money right, or this will be the american chinses continent...

  • @mesqua2 china will not conquer amerika... they will buy it... look around at your realestate... what companies are buying? who owns these companies? better look into it befor its all too late!

  • @mesqua2 You indians have the same DNA as the chinese, they're like your brothers. So I'm sure when they take over america they will put all the white people in prisons and make you indians the guards. It may not happen in our lifetimes but certainly in your childrens life.

  • @rw5791 say what you will.... but its a boat the white dogs made themselves... but im not mad.... cuz under all the racial bullshit, we are all still humans... and it is that, and that only, that will bring us all together as one...

  • @mesqua2 the chinks aren't interested in 'coming together as one".That's just liberal dogshit .They are interested in power and the exercising of it.So just be glad that you indians will be on the inside with the chinese. You look just like them.

  • @rw5791 i dont look very chinese at all... i have round eyes, and am very tall... and have a large penis. so your racial crap means nothing my friend.... im not good at math or science. obviously you have no clue what your speaking of here... and i dont know why you continue to try to argue about this... your on the outside looking in... dont be mad.

  • @mesqua2 you're an indian,you dipstick.

    hey a wanna,hey a wanna.............................like that,see?

Your ancestors came from china and you still look like them.So when china invades they might even let you keep your casinos.

  • Great video, I'd love to visit this area from the UK. Where is the nearest international airport and I wouldnt spent two weeks looking at rushmore and crazy horse and it is a long way to come so is there anything else to do in the area.....Any ideas..?

  • @bigdeezer123 so u dont accept finacial aid in any way huh?

  • paha sapa is sacred and it is disrepectfull to have mt. rushmore there.many lakota died defending it from the settlers. thats like building a statue of hitler accross the street from a synogogue in the crown heights section of brooklyn n.y.

  • i think Lincoln got screwed a little. His cheek isnt finished

  • crazy horse is ugly as fuck

  • great video

  • these are grand monuments to great men.

  • there is a space over to the right for obama..

  • i was there too. lol its pretty cool.

  • lol," dont you love how the man does all the work as the women bobs up and down?"

  • I know right lol

  • yeah that was a bad choice of words on her part lol

  • i been there

  • Korczak Ziółkowski which began work on a monument to Crazy Horse was a Pole.

  • The Crazy Horse carnival will NEVER be completed in my eyes. The entire site is nothing more than a tourist trap that now supports the family. There is more money available from private sources than these people are applying to the progress of the sculpture. Even without Government funds, this project COULD be finished in less time but then that would equal lost revenue. Don't get me wrong, I've hiked Crazy Horse many times and think the idea is s great one.

  • i would love to see those sculpture in person

  • i wanna go... this look sooo fun

  • I visited Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mt 5 times in the last 10 years. It is beautiful in South Dakota. I wait to go back to see how far they gone with Crazy Horse.

  • Crazy Horse should not be Next to Ma\t. Rushmore!

    its not american!

  • Not american? What is American, taking the land given to the Crazy Horse monument and putting a statue of George Bush on it? Shut up.

  • @tjrieves watch this video too.---> "sakela~the greatest festival of Kirat people"

Kirat are the natives of the Himalayas of Mongoloid race just like American native. Just like American native Kirat worship mother nature, land and ancestors.

Just like American native, Kiratdesh vis a vis Nepal was invaded by Aryan(sub-race of Caucasoid).

    Unite NativeofTheWorld

    Kirati

  • @Presidentofstormhawk

What exactly makes it "not american"? The fact that CH wasn't a president, or is it because he wasn't white?

  • crazy horse is one of my all time heroes with other many Indian chiefs and warriors. i think its time for us to show our heritage to the world.

  • ahem...mt. rushmore was never completed because the government stopped caring when borglum died. crazy horse will continue until it's finished because of his family's dedication to it.

  • his name is pronounced like core-jock jewel-cuff-ski. the mountain will be the world's largest sculpture period. it's taller than the washington monument, for crying out loud. i work there, and people who visit really don't understand what it's all about. the story is incredibly emotional, and it's not just a mountain carving.

  • That's a cute comment "don't you love it how the man does all the work and the woman just bobs up and down."

Crazy horse doesn't resemble his photograph, I don't think.

  • there is no documented photograph of crazy horse...wtf u talking about?

  • Yeah, you're right. When I put this together I found the photo on the internet claiming to be a photo of Crazy Horse. I have since realized there was no photo in existence of him.

  • bigdeezer123, it is our past which defines who we are and will be in the future. We should never forget the past, just learn from the mistakes that was made.

  • please talk a lil bit faster

  • i've been there once when i was little, but that was before crazy horse was done.

  • Thank you, but I'm no hero, just one trying to help educate not only Americans but all ithe world willing to hear or wanting the truth. The heroes are all those who fought hard and gave their lives to preserve their God-given rights to live and thrive on the lands of their ancestors. The wrongs can never be made right because they are too numerous, from the theft of native lands to selling of human beings into slavery to exploitation of the very poor Chinese to build our railroads. It's Sad.
