im living in samui now for 3,5 years i remember this very good. now its end october and the last 10 days its been raining and looks like it doesnt stop.. realy hope its not like that time. streets allreayd full water and in some areas shops ar closed beacuse of the rain. :(:(
I hope not since the 2005 flood the drains have been mended but the ponds, lakes and old flood planes are filling up and unless the rain stops they will soon overflow.
Nice slideshow. I was there, and it was really bad. Worst rain in Samui for over 30 years. The road between Lamai and Chaweng was closed a couple of days and locals was using boats inland. ;) chock dee khap
I had payed for the rental of the house and thought itl stop tomorow!!!some days goin2 the green mango was an experience in its self..in the end i borrowed my friends 4x4 causin a tidal wave on the road for people on bikes,STILL GIVE ME THIS IN THAI RATHER THAN SUMMER IN ENGLAND
i remember this too well!!begining of november id had enough of phuket and decided to go live in samui for couple month..3days later it didnt stop rainin until about boxing day{although i was lucky my house was on high ground near tesco} PART1
This is 5 years later now Nov. 2010. We had a lot of rain that basically fell in a day and it flooded as badly as what you can see in this video.
The water subsided much quicker this time but the flooding was as bad if not worse.
This time I lost electricity for 4 days.

Genius! This guy is going to go far in the filmaking business - as soon as he figures out how to make the pictures move.
