I was a Little Kid when this show was on. all the kids in my School wanted to be Colonel Steve Austin when we grew up. We wnated to be him when we were Kids too. He even Topped Captain Kirk.
@Roadracer987654321 Top Captain Kirk? Now I wouldn't go that far. It took bionics, real good music, to make a Steve Austin, but Kirk was good all by himself. I must say that nobody on earth looks better than Austin running but he aint no Kirk.
i grow up looking @ this programe & wander woman & many others ones.does time will never comeback,i will be grteful to see does programes all the time.
slow motion because it looks less comical. if they moved his legs like he was really running 60 mph he would look like charlie chaplain all fast frame and corny looking
I've always considered it strange that to convey the image that a man is running at 60 mph, the film-makers had to resort to slow-mo action. I think paradoxical is the word.
The first movie and special episodes of this were the best. It waas actually gritty and somewhat dangerous. Steve was a bit of an anti-hero. Then it turned goofy.
At 0:55 to 3:38 - This montage is one of the best run of STEVE AUSTIN for me. He looks really powerful. This man was my hero when I had only 10 yrs old! "Steve Austin for evaaaa!!!" :)
After all these years, I still take my Steve Austin lunch box to skool, although I'm getting pretty sicka ham sammiches already. Moma is purdy impressed at how smart I am.
Majors and Presley were not only look alikes but very good friends, according to an interview with Majors. It would have been fun to hear Presley's rendition of "Sweet Jamie" that Majors does.
That's in the pilot movie, go on daily motion.com, someone has put 4 segments that are pretty much the whole movie (where he has his accident, is being rebuilt, etc).
search the six million dollar man, you'll find it easily.
Well in retrospect , You'd have to compare his Running ability's , to Say, A "70's Muscle Car" ... Straight ahead (quarter-mile) performance was Fast ! But in Handling , He was vague and sluggish ...
Asthuane have this film on the age of ten that you and I think it is true, and I was the reincarnation Ckhitth Rkzt Turkz If he did, and jumped Skip like him so I move my forehead with my eyes and felt I was and I thank God that I did not jump very high altitude to hit hurt
Damn!!! I miss how fine Lee Majors was,he was a Sex God back in the day!!!! I was just in grade school when this was popular, and he was my crush, omg sooooooooooo sexy!!!! That hairy chest just did it for me,and those eyes, that hair, that bod!!!

whit man cant run fast cause were slow and strong black guys never win world strongest man , and black guys are fast cause there used to having to try and out run lions in africa ah ha ha ha
He looks like Elvis. All these decades and it's only hit me he's identified with him at some point. You can definitely see it in his face.
Loved the show though, absolutely sold on it since it was first shown when I was 5. I wanted to be the bionic man. Where's the episodes? Aren't they allowed on YouTube?
So,...that opening footage of him running in the red jump suit is from that little Six Million Dollar Man projector, no? I just recently found that tape my Dad labeled and stored away for me to find 30 something years later. It was unusable. Good to see someone still has it. I still remember it. Cool.
Stone Cold Steve Austin is a wrestler. Steve Williams is his real name. He didn't want to use the name Austin at first to avoid confusion with the bionic man. But he went with it and the rest is history..
Was this put together as a tribute for his time with Farah Fawcett? Looking at this, I could picture him as Hans Solo if Harry Ford hadn't worked out.
Amazing what passed for hi-tech back in the 70s. I never understood why they made them run in slow-mo to simulate speed. I was like wtf is this? The special effects really sucked. Even back then when I saw this first time around.
I heard around the grape vine [back in the day] that they made his third leg bionic also. Apparently It had it's own CPU,It could ward off attacks with a laser beam [hidden near the scrotum] and it had the power of attorney in case Steve's main bionic CPU went off-line.
Surprised they havent brought out a film yet and fucked it up. Youd have to be as handsome with a cool running action. Maybe brad pitt. Id like to see him take the challenge. Any ideas people.....
Give 'em a couple of years...though now that they're mining the early to mid '80s for shitty movies/TV comebacks, they may figure not enough ppl would remember this show.
That was kool i was looking 4 steve running man this is hott!!!!!!!!! the song is great it compliment the video great job which episode was he running with the sensors on his jacket and the one with him running on the ranch next to the fence in the video thanks

This show always rocked. When I was a kid, I used to wonder 'if he's supposed to be moving so fast, why do they show him moving so slow?' Got a little older and I figured 'just cause it looks cooler' and you'd just see him zipping by if in real time.
I also thought he was born 4/23/40 but according to his website and other sources the popular year is 1939. I was wondering were you got your information on the year of his birth, because for over 35 years I believed it to be 1940 and would like to know the true year once and for all. Thanks.
Why couldn't the Bionic woman have open shirts like this in all the scenes.
