  • @blackwards1 hi many tx iluvkenji

will look into it i am from england and unable to find it..

    cheers

  • How can this charming one-of-a-kind actor possibly be replaced in the remake of Fright Night?

  • @TTheSnirk EXACTLY! And by David Tennant too, who do the filmmakers think they are kidding? The remake of fright night is a pointless insult! Roddy will always be peter vincent!

  • @IluvKenji Pointless is precisely the word for this dumb misguided endeavor! From the trailers that I’ve seen so far, the whole thing looks to be a mess. This remake appears to have NOTHING going for it—especially when compared to the highly entertaining original(s). I can already hear the vast majority of the reviewers saying: “rent the original instead”.

  • @IluvKenji Cause he will be...he's the "original" Peter Vincent in the "original" Fright Night...like my Mother said the original is "always the best" :)

  • Very nice. I think he was highly under rated as an actor. He had an impressive movie & tv list.

  • ok i'm going to admit something here: i had a major crush on this guy when i was 14 and it started when i saw him in Cleopatra and the scary film that took place in a haunted house. i don't know why but he was just so cute and sexy. oh; and i'm in my mid to early 30's now. *wink*!

  • @vbabe11111 i've always had a crush on him too!

  • He must have been the nicest person in the world. He spent his whole life in Hollywood and never made an enemy. In Hollywood, that is unheard of.

  • He must have been the nicest person in the world. He spent his whole life in Hollywood and never made an enemy. In that town, that is unheard of.

  • I had wrote too Roddy on a Thursday and he passed away that following weekend. In my letter, I told him how much I liked his work, in the Planet of the apes movies, his various tv spots and his voicework on Batman, and Superman, the antimated shows, has the voice of the Mad Hatter.

  • I loved him as Galan in The Planet of The apes series, it is a perfect series.

  • god l love roddy. nobody usually mentions him much. i loved him in lassy come home and i absolutely adored him in how green was my valley. *tears*

  • @hailbrando Roddy is amazing and he deserves more recognition than he has. as a child

actor and as an adult, he was one of the best!

  • Thank you IluvKenji, you really helped me see the light in this man's amazing career ;)

  • I loved Roddy all my life. He is so handsome, and has that fun way about him. But did you ever notice how much Anna Paquin the actress looks like him? Was he ever married or ever have kids does anyone know?

  • @moonlily3 No, he never got married. No kids. His sister, Virginia never married, nor had kids, either. Theydo have cousins, though.

  • planet of the apes ( and the sequels) & fright night are amazing

Roddy, you are magnificent, even if you aren't still with us :(

  • He kind of looked like Crispin Glover in some shots when he was in his 20s and 30s.

  • Roddy, i love you!

  • I use to have such a crush on Roddy, I wanted to marry him when I grew up. Great tribute

  • hes always looked the same

  • wow, he acted his whole life. Few people can say that

  • Very touching, and a great selection of photos, with lovely music. He was beautiful til the day he died

  • great actor

  • My favourite actor. <3 Roddy McDowall, you are truly missed.

  • q dices loca

  • i really love him in lord love a duck!! i wish i was born back then so i could date him lol but it's sad that he died :( i didn't know that

  • THought he was great in Fright Night

  • Great tribute! Roddy is a wonderful actor! I loved his performances in movies such as Planet of the Apes, Bedknobs and Broomsticks,Second Jungle Book, Overboard, and A Bug's Life. What's the name of the war movie with him in it at 0:36?

  • The only army flick I remember seeing him in was "The Longest Day" - that'd be my guess.

  • the longest day

  • is Roddy still living?

  • no, he died of cancer in 1998.

  • @IluvKenji He learned he had pancreatic cancer in Apr. of 1998. He appeared to be strong thruout the ordeal. when I last talked with Roddy, he looked great, but I sensed he was really ill, tho he never told anyone he had cancer. He's at peace now and for that I'm grateful. But I do miss him a lot.

  • @VanDowall Roddy was a great man,I envy you that you got too talk too him.I wrote him a fan letter on a Thursday and he had passed away the following weekend. But In my letter, I told him how much I liked his movies, all the apes pictures, Fright Night and his voice work on both Superman and Batman, the antimated series. I always admired his patience too be made up as an ape,3 and a half hours is along time in the makeup chair. Then having too wear the makeup for long hours/shoots very admirable.

  • @IluvKenji

cancer!? i thought it was a heart attack!?

  • @vbabe11111 no it was lung cancer!

  • @IluvKenji lol now i have to go and correct my mother!

  • Unfortunately he passed away in 1998, lung cancer I believe. It was said he didn't have any enemies in Hollywood, and that his funeral was overcrowded with those paying respects

  • @repentorburnbaby Roddy lives in our memories. he was born Mon.Sept.17.1928, led a great life; no regrets, then passed away at 7:30a.m. on Saturday Oct.03.1998. He was 70.

  • Loved Roddy! He was the best and most underrated actor of then all.

  • Yeah, I agree. This is a lovely video. I am 14 and I truely do wish I was around earlier to enjoy him :(

  • Do you know where I could find Lord Love A Duck easily?

  • Always try Amazon and e-Bay or any website dedicated to him. They sell his merchandise sometimes.

  • Absolutely awesome...Roddy was one of the best

  • thanks a lot for that lovely tribute. he was a great actor and a nice man.

  • If i could only meet one actor, Roddy would be it.

2:28 is one of the most sexiest pictures I've ever seen.

  • Roddy's a pretty cool guy. :)

  • Awesome tribute!

  • Il fait partie de ces grands acteurs disparus qu'on n'oubliera jamais.

Merci pour ce magnifique hommage Iluvkenji.

  • One of the best character actors EVER!

  • Hi, even though it does'nt matter I always wondered if Roddy was gay? He was one of the best actors.

  • Very cool!
