Big East student here, why everytime some kid commits to the Cane's they have more haters than any other school or conference. Do you haters hate the U that much that you can't pay attention to your own school or conference, damn. LiL Homie do your thang Congrads... Go Bulls
Notre Dame's admissions office didn't help either. That's like asking what receivers from Stanford are killing the NFL. I'm an ex player from South Florida so I like the U, but I also like to see local talent represent on the national stage...and we all know who dominates college football, the SEC. Admit it or not.
@miapal305 SEC as in the conference with the most NFL players and BCS champions. Its not just Florida, but I would go play with Charlie Weis (Super Bowl OC) over Al whatever his name is.
@MrMarcusCrassus Ya Charlie Weiss is an ex NFL cordinator but hasnt done shit for college WR's. name a wr from ND that is doing work in NFL that was Weiss's? Just Samarzija and hes pitchin for the Cubs now instead of NFL but other than that nobody Weiss is just an overhyped product of Bill Belicheck.....Hes going to the U!!!
@MrMarcusCrassus Or go to a school that has the record for the most 1st round picks in consecutive years. More pro bowlers this year then any school and probably more players in the league then any other school. Not to mention we had 8 players drafted this year tied for 2nd. Was there an SEC school up there? Because I know UNC had 9 and they were tide with someone else.
@miapal305 The SEC is known as the baby NFL. That explains all you need to know. Just like in South Florida you have kids that are All-American because they play 2A ball and they go D1 one, but more times than none that 6A kid that has been playing real competition every week ends up the better player on the next level.
@miapal305 Thats what I'm sayin'. The SEC teams are those Central, Dillard, and Dwyer type schools while FSU and the ACC are those 2A Gulliver Prep, American Heritage, and Pace type schools. Yeah the small schools have a few D1 players but on the whole the large schools have better quality and quantity. While that guy @ the small school was having his way w/ inferior talent, the guy from the large school was playing against players like him every week. Same goes w/ the SEC. Its cut throat.
@gabrielprosser Good year, last year it was the Big 12 that gave the SEC a run for their money. That second place spot changes every year, but guess who consistently has the top spot? How can you argue w/ 5 w/ straight NC's...must be denial.
@gabrielprosser 431 total players from the $ec--425 from the acc. . . MIAMI has the MOST of any team!! Not THAT big of a gap. (maybe in your own mind.) But yeah, the $ec knows they can get the best amateurs money can buy. If it wasn't for pay-for-play and tony barnhart covering it up. . . .what would the $ec be???
I'm much older than 13 or 14. I've followed the CANES for over 30 years. Your freshman QB, we're going to eat him alive this year. I'll talk more about Ohio State come August.
As for Jean-Louis, as I've said repeatedly, this is a CANE LOCK. He will be a MIAMI HURRICANE when its all over.
@canes998 He won't help your mediocre problem if he does become a Cane. He would actually be on a juggernaut program if he became a Buckeye. GO BUCKS!!!
@canes998 I don't think they will. They return a struggling Jacory Harris who only completed 54% of his passes and had more INT's (15) than TD's (14), they lose leading rusher Damien Barry, they lose a beasty o-lineman in Joel Figueroa, they losee WR Leonard Hankerson, and they will only return 5 starters on their poor defense.
@Billygizzle08 our O-Line will be just fine. I expect a big year out of Harris. Our Running game is going to be even better than last year was. We're loaded at RB. Our D will have a very good year.
As for getting Jean-Louis, as I said before, he's a CANE LOCK!
@canes998 Hopefully for you Miami's O-line won't give up as many sacks and will be able to protect Harris better. You know, so he actually has more TD's than INT's. I doubt they'll have a better run game than last yr. After all, they did have more rush yards last season than they've had in the previous 14 seasons. And they lost so many players on defense it's silly. They lost DE Allen Bailey, DT Josh Holmes, MLB Collin McCarthy, OLB Kylin Robinson and CB DeMarcus Van Dyke to name a few.
@Billygizzle08 Our O-Line is going to be a lot better and we sure as hell will not give up as many sacks as we have the last few years. On D, we'll be fine.
@canes998 HAHAHAHA I guess you're gonna be disappointed... you must be 13 or 14 years old or something. And I'm gonna laugh when Ohio State's freshman QB comes down to Miami and beats you guys

@Billygizzle08 not if the NCAA nails the Senator and the Suckeyes to the wall.
