You should know that people and language is different. According to one view, finno-ugric language comes from Urals not people (its called parent language). Awesome video. Finns have always used rifles based on the Soviet counterparts since they used to be part of Imperial Russia until 1918. They used their own version of the Mosin Nagant during the Continuation War(look for the film "The Winter War"). They then adopted the Valmet M-62 then M-76 and now this model of Valmet. Most are superior to the Soviet rifles. The bonus is they use the same 7.62X39mm round which can be acquired from their potential enemy.
The AK action is hard to shoot well. It is like a washing machine was kicked downstairs. My Moisin Nagent is finnish and very accurate. Rifle Grenades are better than nothing, but the US M-70/M203 grenade launcher approach is much more accurate, in case you want to actually hit something.
They are difficult to tame on full-auto; however, many countries use and make sniper rifles using the exact same system, i.e. the Romanian PSL and the Yugoslavian M-76, both are very accurate.
Not to mention the Saiga line of rifles and the Galil Sniper variant.
In the AK, the hammer motion alone would prevent it being as accurate as the M-16. The movement of the heavy bolt and operating rod is about 10 times that. By comparison, nearly any M-16A2 of subsequent will do half a mil (10 mm at 100 meters) off the rack. No operating rod means no movement caused it. The bolt moving is delayed until the light hot gas has moved all the way to the port, then all the way back to the unlocking mechanism inside the bolt just after the bullet has left the barrel.
It looks like a very nice Kalashnikov varient with some good improvements built in. I always like the AK rounds compared to the M16 rounds for the AKs much harder hit and penetration of protective barriers like tree lines and walls. M16 isn't so good trying to go through trees and bricks, seems to loose to much power or won't go through. I liked the nice long site base on these compared to regular AK, and milled reciever is always nice.
well finland got an very good artillery so tanks wont be a problem ;) and rk 95 tp is stronger than ak 47 and more accurate than m16 so what else do you need ?

I agree that the design was taken from the fins. but the RK design was based on AK. During the Yom Kippur war, the IDF were equipped with the FN-FAL assault rifle. this rifle prove unreliable in the desert. there's a report that the IDF soldiers looted the AKs from the dead arab soldiers. the experiance lead to the creation of Galil. The RK design was a pure political maneuver. it's the AKs that they're after.
Strange, those Assault Rifle´s stocks are like those of the Galil. The Weapon itself looks like an AK, the fire selector is completely the same. The only really different thing are the sights.
And I'm not 100% certain about this, but I seem to remember that the RK-62 design was sold to israel. At least there were a lot of them made around, including a completely chromed parade version to a middle-eastern country.
Galil were based on AK-47. Israel Soldiers were very impresed with the reliability of the AK-47 that they managed to capture. since it's imposibble for Israel soldiers to carry AKs around, so they created Galil.
I see your knowledge of arms is based upon the childish documentaries in Discovery Channel. Galil is based directly upon Finnish RK62, the Finns even provided some tooling.

You should know that people and language is different. According to one view, finno-ugric language comes from Urals not people (its called parent language). Watch the same thing about Indo-european language and its speakers. Are they all from same place? Have anybody adopt their language? Watch the map of Indo-European languages. If finnic people would have travelled from East (Asia) as many people are saying, there would have signs of that, in DNA etc. Finnic people are native on Europe.

Awesome video. Finns have always used rifles based on the Soviet counterparts since they used to be part of Imperial Russia until 1918. They used their own version of the Mosin Nagant during the Continuation War(look for the film "The Winter War"). They then adopted the Valmet M-62 then M-76 and now this model of Valmet. Most are superior to the Soviet rifles. The bonus is they use the same 7.62X39mm round which can be acquired from their potential enemy.

The AK action is hard to shoot well. It is like a washing machine was kicked downstairs. My Moisin Nagent is finnish and very accurate. Rifle Grenades are better than nothing, but the US M-70/M203 grenade launcher approach is much more accurate, in case you want to actually hit something.

They are difficult to tame on full-auto; however, many countries use and make sniper rifles using the exact same system, i.e. the Romanian PSL and the Yugoslavian M-76, both are very accurate.
Not to mention the Saiga line of rifles and the Galil Sniper variant.

In the AK, the hammer motion alone would prevent it being as accurate as the M-16. The movement of the heavy bolt and operating rod is about 10 times that. By comparison, nearly any M-16A2 of subsequent will do half a mil (10 mm at 100 meters) off the rack. No operating rod means no movement caused it. The bolt moving is delayed until the light hot gas has moved all the way to the port, then all the way back to the unlocking mechanism inside the bolt just after the bullet has left the barrel.

It looks like a very nice Kalashnikov varient with some good improvements built in. I always like the AK rounds compared to the M16 rounds for the AKs much harder hit and penetration of protective barriers like tree lines and walls. M16 isn't so good trying to go through trees and bricks, seems to loose to much power or won't go through. I liked the nice long site base on these compared to regular AK, and milled reciever is always nice.

I agree that the design was taken from the fins. but the RK design was based on AK. During the Yom Kippur war, the IDF were equipped with the FN-FAL assault rifle. this rifle prove unreliable in the desert. there's a report that the IDF soldiers looted the AKs from the dead arab soldiers. the experiance lead to the creation of Galil. The RK design was a pure political maneuver. it's the AKs that they're after.
