no its not the hub.....marz. sent me a new fork because this one was defective. .... im sending my 2nd fork back tomorrow because its creaking so damn bad......im over this taiwan bullshit.
well, I have RCV which came with my new 08 Kona Stinky... works almost smooth. But those sounds... damnit, in first 2-3cm of travel its making some metal 2 metal sound (maybe negative springs?) and originally designed hub is not fitting 100% (there is some movement due to hub - nothing u can feel when riding). Also using whole 18cm travel is just a fiction, whatever I do, even with no air in preload, compression almost turned off, I am not able to make it moving more than 14cm...
im thinking of upgrading to some "Marzocchi 66 RCV 180mm 1.5 steerer 2007" but they appear to not have a quick release capability
it it a unerversal fit or do i have to upgrade my hubs also ?

what hub are you running it with? and which 08 66 fork is it?

odessy hub, 08 rc3. They gave me a new fork because they said this one was defective. New one doesnt have this problem. marzocchi made it right

mine only makes a squishy water sound when i compress it, but its normal and mine is brand new

no,it is the axle loosening,not the problem of the fork but the hub...

100% Fu** quick realease axle.I have same problem.Problem should be,that axle cannot be tighten too much-there is some as safety lock on axle.
Also clearance of 08 MZ fork is terrible.
