@ikechukwu0303 ....yes, DAZ animates ; talking, walking, dancing, flying, etc...or you can pose the models yourself (or just adjust the presets)...DAZ comes with some 'ani-blocks', which are preset animated motion files that you can just insert into the timeline, and it comes with some static (no motion) poses, but you still may want to stock up at the DAZ store for more of them.(and/or learn to create your own)

@ikechukwu0303...Carrara and DAZ aren't the same..if your more into modelling from scratch and/or particle effects, I'd suggest Carrara...you can pose/animate in Carrara, but if your more into just posing premade models,etc, I'd suggest DAZ, personally I have both because of the interaction of all the mentioned...also have Poser and about to get Bryce (its on sale..Carrara's also on sale @DAZ)

@ikechukwu0303...just wanted to mention that DAZ 3 Studio is free (n not a 'trial'...DAZ Advanced isn't free, as was mentioned by others), but if u want to save alot of money, u should consider getting a 'Platinum' account at DAZ, then u can save lots n lots on DAZ items, as well as save on purchasing Carrara,Bryce.etc.

Studio Advanced is not the free version but you can mix the models.

I will try and use the free version "just" to learn the program then probably I will switch to a serious modeler like Carrara 7.

The free version is all I use. I export my scene from Daz straight into 3D Max using a Collada plugin. I do my quick renders in Daz but I do my final renders in Max. Daz is a good character builder but it will be awhile before they can compete with the 3d Studio Max render engine and countless other features....
