Simple. It may happen that two separate groups emerge within the parental population, between which the rate of interbreeding declines. If that happens, the reproductive variations at either side of the divide are no longer communicated through the entire population, and the two subpopulations diverge genetically, lowering interfertility even more. Natural selection applies throughout this process.

Creation hypothesis fails to unify these facts into theory, such as: shared ERV insertions between distinct but related species, accurate predictions made with molecular phylogenetics, species found in strata age and geography at those predicted evolutionary origins, fusion of 2 ape chromosomes into 1 human chromosome, human embryonic stages that show same development as amphibians/reptiles/fish, or why ALL living species today can be traced back to more primitive but similar species.

@confettibrains The ERVs between Chimps and Humans only confirm genetic degradation. Chimps are from the same exact genetic lineage as humans. Humans degraded in all the sicknesses we have and Chimps are nearly extinct. This is the way of reality.
The common ancestor of Chimps and Humans is a superior human with room in their jaw for wisdom teeth, larger brain capacity and much stronger bones and organs.

@confettibrains We know they are genetic degradation and genetic loss that are found in the many thousands of DNA mutations that cause disease BECAUSE we can see the prior fit condition before the mutation in people who do not have a particular disease. In those people the cells are healthy. There are over 6800 known genetically caused diseases and no positive only mutations anywhere.
