I like TOR from what I hear so far, and will play it, but this vid is pointless and I'm tired of companies putting out some rendered CGI movie and we're supposed to get all creamy in our shorts when the actual game isn't going to look like this. This is pretty fuffed up mistakes in the Star Wars universe. These Troopers are suppose to be the empire. Only the Empire had access to that kind of armor and helmet. So why are these Troopers addressing their enemies in the video as the Empire when they are suppose to be the empire? You clearly see in the video the empire attacked and their large squares of armies that are the troopers are shown. So suddenly later in the video the empire is made up of droids with troopers attacking them? WTF!!!
@DekArosaro If this was before Vader, Anakin would'nt even be born yet in this time. then there would be no Troopers. Remember in Star Wars Attack of the Clones?? Those were the first troopers made on that water planet. So troopers wouldn't exist way back in the Old Republic. So these dark force enemies in this video wouldn't be called empire but they would be part of the separatist army. And the empire wasn't formed until Darth Vader took over!! The empire wouldn't have existed!!

@215jmo no...not really. First there is budgeting, and lack of time constraints. If they were to make this game and KOTOR 3, then both games would be crap in the end. Bioware is knows for good RPG's, so trust them in their decision.
And about the RPG fans, there are also a ton of MMO fans that were waiting for this for a long time. So just be happy this is going to be a great game with possibly a low monthly price compared to WoW.

Since I read "I, Jedi" I've understood that any one Force-sensitive can have a myriad of abilities. The fact is made certain, as shown in the book, when a character is described as taking a lightsaber hit and diminishing it's effect, citing Vader's arm hit in Ep V. Seeing it though, it fantastic. (Except I noticed the blade chip & peel away. WTF?)

@Blackhole345 Well, If you're REALLY proficient in knife-fighting, far more so than sith is with a lightsaber, and your armor is made out of cortosis, you'd probably win.
@josechido the logos look the same becuase the rebel logo was originally a jedi symbol (play force unleasehed) and the sith logo is excactly that a SITH logo, if you haven't noticed Darth Sideos is a sith!
So is the "Revan" in this actually Darth Bane? I recall reading he found the teachings of Revan in holocrons in the Temple. Then destroyed it. So if this is supposedly centuries after Kotor 1/2. Wouldn't Bane fit that time line?

MrFlagTube, you're right on alot of that, but I think that was more of an Ion Grenade, merely because Stun Grenade's don't damage skin to that point in the KoToR Universe. And while this game could never stack up to KoToR.... it still stays true in many aspects.

This isn't fair, after playing the first two games seven years ago, I've been waiting for a KOTOR 3 for too long. I wanted to know what happened to the Exile. Did he and Revan meet? Did they fight the True Sith Empire, what was the Unknown Region like? Then years later, I hear that a 3rd game was coming, but no, instead I find out that instead of finishing their own damn story, they throw this MMO crap in our faces! I wish that there was something that I could do to stop this!

@215jmo no...not really. First there is budgeting, and lack of time constraints. If they were to make this game and KOTOR 3, then both games would be crap in the end. Bioware is knows for good RPG's, so trust them in their decision.
And about the RPG fans, there are also a ton of MMO fans that were waiting for this for a long time. So just be happy this is going to be a great game with possibly a low monthly price compared to WoW.

Since I read "I, Jedi" I've understood that any one Force-sensitive can have a myriad of abilities. The fact is made certain, as shown in the book, when a character is described as taking a lightsaber hit and diminishing it's effect, citing Vader's arm hit in Ep V. Seeing it though, it fantastic. (Except I noticed the blade chip & peel away. WTF?)
I gotta ask though, what is with the 'Hadoken?'
Is that yet another ability Republic-era Jedi have forgotten, along with becoming a Force-spirit.

Great vid brother! Abolutely can NOT wait for this to be released. Looks like Bioware is trying to show a balancing act here so we won't have another SWG situation. Yeah, the commando is awsome, I'll give you that. HOWEVER, the second force blast from the jedi is epic. At this point Bioware has my trust, this is gonna be awsome!

ok just a few questions,
1- why do the republic soldiers have almost identical armor to the clone troopers,
2-why is the imperial and republic logos (almost) the same as the empire and rebel alliance?
what im trying to ask is why does it look so damn much like the prequels?

@josechido the logos look the same becuase the rebel logo was originally a jedi symbol (play force unleasehed) and the sith logo is excactly that a SITH logo, if you haven't noticed Darth Sideos is a sith!

So is the "Revan" in this actually Darth Bane? I recall reading he found the teachings of Revan in holocrons in the Temple. Then destroyed it. So if this is supposedly centuries after Kotor 1/2. Wouldn't Bane fit that time line?

MrFlagTube, you're right on alot of that, but I think that was more of an Ion Grenade, merely because Stun Grenade's don't damage skin to that point in the KoToR Universe. And while this game could never stack up to KoToR.... it still stays true in many aspects.
