well actually I went to Miami and in Coral Gables they have roundabouts all over the place, and it seemed only locals could go round them some people had no idea. And I never saw one person use indicators on the roundabouts, your meant to indicate into your chosen road and if your going right and nobody did that, it was a matter of guessing where people were going to go. Maybe that was just Miami but if that's the case for America, no you guys cannot go round roundabouts correctly
@milne98989 Even in the UK there was a learning curve. With each roundabout built, more people understand how to use them. I might add though, despite your frustrations, there were still likely no accidents and traffic flowed better than a stop sign or traffic light. But don't throw blanket statements that "you guys" can't use roundabout correctly. Consider the alternative to roundabouts, that'd be much worse than dealing with people still figuring out roundabouts.
i didnt realise the USA had roundabouts, i always heard the few they do have tend to get changed into intersections because they don't know how to navigate them. this is quite a helpful video haha. don't they get taught to navigate them when learning to drive, im assuming they do because if they don't, thats really stupid.
The magic roundabout is a joke and should be replaced with a basic 2-lane rondabout. Double roundabouts are not difficult at all to navigate. If you can navigate a traffic light intersection with multiple lanes with different lanes turning different directions, then you can easily handle a multi-lane roundabout.
You mean a 4-day stop sign? Or traffic lights? Do you have any idea the extra lanes that would be needed all over ladera ranch or the extra delays that would be caused?? That's nice that you think they're retarded, but the alternatives are even more retarded.
Have a look at the Roundabouts in Chattanooga Tennessee in my favorites to see a 2-lane roundabout. And look at this website for a comparison of roundabouts vs traffic circles.
You can look at the website for alaskaroundabouts (not letting me put in a link here). But yea, google it, there are distinct differences.
This roundabout doesn't come close to having the volume and number of lanes of the Long Beach horror roundabout. If you want to see crazy stuff, check out my video
Long Beach is not a roundabout... It's a traffic circle. You can not compare the two. It's even called "The Long Beach Traffic Circle". The minor modifications they made only helped slightly, it's still much more dangerous than a modern roundabout. There are plenty of very successful multi-lane roundabouts all over the country and world. And many more are getting built.

The roundabout is the best thing that came from England. We need more of then instead of stoplights.

Boy that is one nice roundabout with the planting.
But this is a simple roundabout - believe me try those damn "double roundabouts" or the "Magic circle" ones they are indeed a paint to get use to.

im so proud!! but yea roundabouts vary from shape and size, so most of these commenters dontknow what theyre on about.
traffic circles are equiped with traffic lights, roundabouts with yield signs..

its fun to romp the rocks on the outside edge of the roundabouts. personally i think there retarded and should have made a 4 way intersection.
