une interprétation completement nouvelle pour moi, j'hésite , et je ne sais pas si j'aime ou non tellement je suis surprise ! quel beau visage cet Alessandrini ! c'est totalement originale !
Nice joke, but you show you dont know too much about Vivaldi. His nick name was the red priest because he was read hair (and he had also blue eyes).
Italian at the time of Vivaldi was like European, an adjective referring to a region of the world and not to a political entity.
Vivaldi was a citizen of the Republic of Venice where then like now a significant part of the population have Northern European kind of look, and not like the cliché-like Italian of Hollywood Mafia movies.
I think they are currently straight period instruments, but I don't know if that was always the case. They certainly sound pretty modern in this recording. I personally think they are the best baroque orchestra no one has ever heard of. However, this is one of their old recordings, which aren't nearly as good as their current ones.
You like Bach, check out the Brandenburgs as performed by Concerto Italiano that I've uploaded.
They still use modern instruments, but only string instruments, I believe. However, they use gut strings and baroque style bows with those modern violins, violas, etc
I posted this music few weeks ago.(Europa Galante and Fabio Biondi) Although Fabio participated in two times with his orche and Il Concerto Italiano, the each feeling is different. Thanks for your sharing. :=D

Wtf are you talking about? Do you even know what a makeover is?

I guess it is about wearing a wig and putting make up. Am I any close to the right meaning?

My remark was bit nerdy, dont worry. You like most of people are not supposed to know things like this, I am from Venice , thats why I know.
Your joke is funny in any case anyhow.

Last thing, ok you marked my comment as spam, but the fact that he was called the red priest because he was red hair it is true.

I'm not very familiar with Il Concerto Italiano. I read that they mix period and modern instruments. Is that true?
