"The publishing operation was lucrative. A tax document from June 1993—wrapping up the year in which the Political Report had published the "welfare checks" comment on the L.A. riots—reported an annual income of $940,000 for Ron Paul & Associates, listing four employees in Texas (Paul's family and Rockwell) and seven more employees around the country." - Reason Magazine | January 16, 2008
All this FOX News clip shows is that either Ron Paul published racist articles in his newsletters under the pseudonym, 'James Powell', or that the racist articles Ron published in his newsletters were submitted by other (paid) writers. Perhaps there is yet another explanation, but the FACT remains Ron Paul published and PROFITED from racist newsletters.

@PostSurgeOperative 'Mystery Writer' of Ron Paul's 'Racist' Newsletters Uncovered
/watch?v=THkz9btU0zY
As Wikipedia states:
"In March 2001, Paul stated that the documents were authored by ghostwriters, that he had been advised in 1996 that denying authorship would be too confusing, but that while he did not write the challenged passages, he bore 'some moral responsibility' for their publication."
@ErikLiberty What you're saying is that it's ok that Dr. Paul published racist newsletters, because (he now claims) he paid other people to write the racist articles. That's a very poor argument. That's like saying Hitler is qualified to be president because he wasn't responsible for killing those Gypsies, Jews, and disabled people--it was his employees who did that! That's like saying Manson isn't responsible for killing Sharon Tate and her unborn child--his friends did it!
@PostSurgeOperative Hitler directed his employees with specific orders. Ron Paul didn't. Most (not all) of the offending passages were jokes in very poor taste. Furthermore, to call a black politician “Barbara Morondon,” or to say Martin Luther King Jr. was a plagiarist who “beat up his paramours,” isn’t actually racist. It’s mean, and it would appeal to racists (duh), but strictly speaking, a lot of the things being quoted to show how racist Ron Paul’s ghostwriter must be, actually aren’t.
@ErikLiberty Are you Ron Paul's spokesperson? Of course you're not, you're just moRon who thinks that a guy who can't even properly manage a fucking newsletter is somehow qualified to be President of the United States. LMAO, GTFO!
@PostSurgeOperative We are all spokespeople for Ron Paul, and we deal with trolls like you on a daily basis, always attempting to come in and disseminate your misinformation, half-truths and outright fabrications. Consider us the clean-up crew, here to provide factual, unbiased information about our candidate to better educate people who are largely ignorant of his policies, or the ongoing attempt by special interest groups to trivialize his message of liberty and prosperity.
@PostSurgeOperative (1) From a FAQ on the newsletters: scribd. com/doc/76280303/PaulNewslettersFaq-Tunk#outer_page_19
Anyone taking the view that Ron is incompetent has given up any claim on being interested in the truth, rather than in scoring cheap political points against a candidate they don't like and bullying his fans. Harris puts it well: ...
@PostSurgeOperative (2) When those issues were published, Paul was a full-time medical doctor and a busy family man, as well as an in-demand speaker and a student of politics and current events - in short, a man with tremendous demands on his time and energy. He had recently ended an exhaustive presidential race, returned to private practice, and was not in Congress or involved in electoral politics. He had given up control of his newsletter business;...
@PostSurgeOperative (3) he kept only a minority share in the newsletter that bore his name. He made an ill-advised decision to turn the newsletter over to others, to let others write it and edit it and publish unsigned articles in this newsletter with his name in the title. He apparently failed to closely monitor it. That turned out to be a ghastly error."
@PostSurgeOperative (4) This is the blatant fallacy that lies behind the statement, “If Ron Paul can't even run an 8-page newsletter, how can we expect him to run an entire country?” Ron Paul wasn't “running” that newsletter. In fact, he had long since relinquished responsibility for it....
@PostSurgeOperative (5) Over the course of several years, during which dozens of different newsletters were released, a few objectionable issues managed to slip out under his nose while he was delivering babies professionally, speaking publicly, tending to five children, and giving free medical care to blacks. Are we to denounce him for not having superhuman powers?
@PostSurgeOperative The writer at that link you posted is a moron. Here's one "juicy" quote from the newsletters: "The Trilateral Commission is no longer known only by those who are knowledgeable about international conspiracies, but is routinely mentioned in the daily news.... Jimmy Carter's membership in the Trilateral Commission is hardly a coincidence." First, this isn't racist. Second, the Trilateral Commission has its own website: trilateral. org. Try again you worthless hack.
@PostSurgeOperative Caldwell, writing in the NY Times in 2007, said he found Paul’s explanation believable, “since the style diverges widely from his own.”
Paul's campaign manager was gay, and his greatest heroes, Ludwig von Mises and Murray Rothbard, were Jews. Concerning racism:
"Texas Congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul is not a racist and is being smeared as one because he is a clear threat to the political establishment, says Nelson Linder, Austin president of the NAACP."
"Gary Bledsoe, president of the Texas NAACP, urged Dr. Paul to apologize for his comments about blacks and asked Republicans to denounce their nominee.
"We need someone who can represent all the constituents" Mr. Bledsoe said. "Someone who holds those views signals or indicates an inability to represent all constituents without regard to race, creed or color."
criticalreactor. com/ronpaul/newsletters/1996_Dallas_Morning_News. html
@PostSurgeOperative Yep, a total of 9 racist sections in 240 newsletters, which translates to 4% of the total content of his newsletters, meaning 96% of the content of the newsletters was not racist in any way, shape or form. So the majority of the PROFIT he derived from these newsletters contained absolutely NO racism.
Just another example of anti-Paul trolls making a mountain out of a mole hill.
@SexedUpAtheist Actually, the newsletters available in public archives only date back to the mid-1980s. Considering that Ron Paul published newsletters since the mid-70s, and the fact that he refuses to make back issues available to the public, you have no factual basis for any of the claims you made regarding the sum totals of content/profit of Dr. Pol's publishing enterprise. If you truly care about the truth of this matter, you'll call on Dr. Pol to release those back issues.
You can't simply dismiss the numbers I provided because it suits you to do so: those are real statistics from available evidence, and this is what the mainstream media ran with when they were assaulting Ron Paul and his "terrible, racist" newsletters.
If you want to claim that the newsletters from the mid-70's to the mid-80's may or may not contain racist material, then the burden of proof shifts to you, my friend.
@SexedUpAtheist Ron Paul published racist, homophobic, sexist, antisemitic, and Glenn Beck-style paranoid conspiracy newsletters, which he profited from to the tune of MILLIONS of dollars. These are all facts, widely available in several primary reports on Ron Paul's activities as a publisher.
If Ron Paul was too inept to manage his own newsletters, how the FUCK can we trust him as POTUS?
He published financial newsletters. Financial. A very small percentage of these newsletters contained negative content. Very small.
If a fictional horror novel had a few paragraphs that contained sexually explicit material, we don't call it a steamy romance novel. Sorry, buddy: your logic fails.
By all means, though, continue your mindless bleating: sheep aren't good for much else, are they?
@PostSurgeOperative. Let's be clear. Paul is being attacked by the media for one reason and one reason only. He is not owned by the elite Jews who push us into wars in Muslim nations and who control the USA via their control of the Fed. No other reason at all.
As a black man, I know Ron Paul is not a racist, he is too level headed and any rational person will see that. His message is about freedom, not oppression.
@MrEhud77 I see MUCH more ineptitude in the past doings of all the other candidates. One of the strangest things to me are some people who profess Christianity, but are total war-loving hypocrites who would throw their own countrymen to the dogs for another country.
@DrsCure4us Have you actually ever read the Bible.. Take a look at Romans 13. Now while we could disagree or agre about Iraq that isn't really the Issue here is it? From a Christian perspective I see so much wrong with Ron Paul's other policies that I couldn't vote him regardless of how I feel about what our role in the middle east should be.
