First, where did you get $80k from? I wish. The budget was $40,000, half of what you wrote. Plus a lot of the $ were pissed away by the asswipe Atlantic Records exec at at the time. So yes, it was the best we could do for the budget. And we shot at 3 locations, including at the Tin Horn Flats in Burbank, and the Starlight amphitheater also in Burbank. And all in one 10 hour day, I'd say the video came out great. So I appreciate your opinion, but you are off-based and ill-informed. Huh.

That does not surprise me at all. Back n' the day, it was common practice for labels to rip off artists by telling them that video costs were far more than they actually were. I actually did a video for Sir Jinx and the late Gerald Levert which cost $30,000 and the friggin' label charged the artist $70,000! That is a damn shame that TR still owes the label that money, because they lied obviously. If you were a band member, who are you? Were you in the clip? Or joined later? Peace. Chip

I am sure a lot, as well as at other labels too. Ruthless business unfortunately. We did a Prince video years ago for the first Batman video, and on that clip, MCA allocated almost $300,000 for the shoot, but when we finally got our budget, we received $225,000, never knowing where the other $75,000 went to. Great band! Stumbled onto the tape by sheer luck about 10yrs ago while trying to find some new "old" metal bands I hadn't heard of. What a find. Could not believe they didn't get more press in the metal mags and more airplay on the airwaves. Love the music and the vocalist was a real talent. Best of luck in what ever they do now. And if there is ever a reunion tour (the original drummer will be missed) count me in! I don't care if they're playing the mall!

I was Rick Chaddock's guitar tech fer 15 years. Rick now does the sound track for the Stargate shows, Dennis is an R&D Manager for a hi-tech computer firm, Michael is still playing. Unfortunately, we lost Rich Wright a little over a year ago. What a great loss.
