The elect are the same people in Revelation 17:14. Not Catholics. The Catholics that are Jesus' are spoken of in Revelation 18:4. The angel is shouting to the Catholics in that verse.

@mixcatcom When Jesus said "call no man father", he was speaking in hyperbole, which a metaphorical form of speaking in the old Jewish tradition. He was speaking of the scribes and pharisees, who were looking inward at themselves as the ultimate authorities over their own lives, as opposed to God himself. Jesus didn't mean for you to literally not call your dad "father" Elisha cries, "My father, my father!" to Elijah in 2 Kgs. 2:12 This is something Protestants ALWAYS get confused about.

The Church also recognizes Baptism by blood and Baptism by desire. I am sure St. John is telling us that the billions of people who will be killed in the first half of the tribulation will go to heaven through a Baptism of blood.

Maybe Baptized by blood is not the correct term, because I am sure these billions of martyrs will not accept their martyrdom. In Revelation 15:3, St. John describes the two groups who were martyred by Hitler and one group sings the "canticle of Moses". Obviously, John is saying that these unwilling Jewish victims of Hitler's holocaust are in heaven. The same with aborted babies in Rev. 6:9. Their "testimony" is a silent testimony. They suffer and die like Jesus and they are innocent like Jesus.

Koolmom. Read Revelation 20:4-6 This clearly states that only christians will go to heaven. At the end of millenium the rest of the dead (non-Christians) are resurrected to be judge and cast into the lake of fire Revelation 20:11-14. Now Revelation 7:9-17 tells us that many will come to Christ during the tribulation and what their eternal fate is. The comment box is not big eneough to elaborate on the theology.

Revelation 20:4-6 does NOT state that only Christians will go to heaven. You make a big mistake to add to the Book of Revelation. The martyrs in this passage are the same as those I refer to,on my video who are martyred by the antichrist and therefore return with Jesus at Armageddon. You also have 20:11-14 all wrong. They are NOT all thrown into the lake of fire. Either you can't read or you are deliberately adding to the text. Verse 20:12 states they will be JUDGED according to their WORKS.
