(Rivaldo in 99, Zidane in 00, Figo, and Ronaldo...). There was always someone that won more trophies or played more spectacular than Raul. But he was always top 3 between 99 and 2003. At the time some spanish players didn't get full recognition in my opinion (Mendieta), there was only eyes for Zidane and the brasilians.

recuerdo ese día llegue del colegio solo para ver los últimos 10 o 15 min. El resultado me sorprendió un poco, pero muy buen partido, y eso que no pude ver ningún gol. Ambos manejando bien la pelota, con intensidad, y qué figuras en el campo. Pero sin duda mucho mejor el partdo de vuelta en OT, si Ole G Soskjaer hubiera salido en un buen día, hubiéra pasado el Man Utd sin duda. Ojalá hubiera un resumen así como éste, del partido en Manchester. Saludos amantes del buen football !

@reesaable I agree but unfortunately, the years when he was (in my opinion) the best striker in the world, there was always one player somewhere that had a better year than him. (Rivaldo in 99, Zidane in 00, Figo, and Ronaldo...). There was always someone that won more trophies or played more spectacular than Raul. But he was always top 3 between 99 and 2003. At the time some spanish players didn't get full recognition in my opinion (Mendieta), there was only eyes for Zidane and the brasilians.

Usually the biggest rivalries are in domestic leagues. Real vs Barcelona, Inter vs Milan, Liverpool vs Manchester etc. But in last 20 years we have seen some european rivalries develop. Barcelona vs Chelsea, Real vs Manchester, Real vs Bayern, Liverpool vs Chelsea (I know they both play in the same league but it's the CL matches that were really intense)

recuerdo ese día llegue del colegio solo para ver los últimos 10 o 15 min. El resultado me sorprendió un poco, pero muy buen partido, y eso que no pude ver ningún gol. Ambos manejando bien la pelota, con intensidad, y qué figuras en el campo. Pero sin duda mucho mejor el partdo de vuelta en OT, si Ole G Soskjaer hubiera salido en un buen día, hubiéra pasado el Man Utd sin duda. Ojalá hubiera un resumen así como éste, del partido en Manchester. Saludos amantes del buen football !
