  • I see you have Clara Bow in this. She was a Fantastic actress. It was the studios who pushed her into the "Sex Symbol" category along with all its lousy scripts. I forget the name of the silent film - but she plays a counter girl in a large department store and she gets involved with the store owner... Fantastic, Fun Film : ) *****

  • This sing has NOTHNING toi do with the pictures. Poor match

  • I love it.

    Great video.

    All my favorites.

    Thank you and

Thank you MY Beautiful Queen of All the Universe Judie. Smooch Genia

  • very good video. It would be interesting to know the actors' and actresses' names in the order of appearance.

But very nice video and good song !"

  • my videos have their own perverse charm...peter coukis

  • what is film in 0:15?

  • Wow - if one video really fits this song it's yours. Absolutely high classed compilation of pictures. Really love the fashion and lifestyle of that days of yore.

One thing I really like is that white town's "your woman" is the girl's answer to Al Bowly's "my woman" .

Took most exactly 60 years 'til white town made this masterpiece ;-)

  • Thank you! This song is just very cool. I appreciate the comment. :D

  • One of my fav songs evaaa!

  • Love the video, I've had a soft spot for the song since it came out, and as silent film fan, I love the tribute, especially since you include a pic from one of my favorite silent films, "The Unknown" at a minute into this video

    great video anyway!

  • Awesome video! Love the song! :D

  • Great video! does anyone know what the pic at 3:27 is from??

  • Thanks! So glad you like it, if was fun to make with this song.:)

  • dude that was from, like, the 1920's to the 1930's, a time of the Roaring Twenties and the Great Depression. You must have put more work into that video, including the song, than ever before. I love this song!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the comment! Glad you liked it. This song is fantastic!:)

  • Charlie Chaplin makes me melt :) hehe

  • Well I have just never got to comment, I just joined a littel morer than a week ago. I love waching this from time to time. What is the name of the song? It's a relly cool song! I don't think I have ever hered it befor I saw your awsome video.

  • Oh, cool, welcome to Youtube:) The name of the song is, 'Your Woman' by a one hit wonder singer, White Town. Came out in the nineties. You can find the original video to that song on youtube also.

  • That was great! I love the song.

  • Wow, we thought everyone on Youtube has seen this video, lol. Thanks for the comment, it is a great song. We had fun making this.

  • A facinating journey through stylesville

  • Glad you liked the journey. :)

  • PERFECTO! BRILLIANT!!!!!

  • Just look at these Stars of the silent film era, they had such presence and knew how to use it! Unlike the some of the stars today who resort to cheap antics to get noticed. There will never be another Buster,Rudolf,Charlie,Errol,or Gary Cooper. And then the ladies are too many to speak of, but Greta,Jean,Lillian,Josephine Baker are gone. Thanks for the great pictures.

  • I agree with you. Thanks for the nice comment, glad you enjoyed it.:)

  • Wow! Cool Work!

  • Very cool! Love it!

  • I remember this video! Yay I'm so glad I found it again! Fabulousness :D

  • Thanks lady! We had actually taken it down and put it back up in your absence, lol.

  • Around 3:12, is that a photo of Rudolph Valentino and Gloria Swanson?

  • I'm so sorry I missed these questions and comments, we were having problems with comments being received and sent for a while :( That image is John Boles (Love him!) and Gloria Swanson from the movie, 'The love of Sunya' 1927.

  • Cool photo of mustachless Warner Baxter.

  • I can see Darth Vader walking to this.lol

  • I never thought of that before but I can totally see it with the opening music, dum, dum, de dum dum, de dum dum....LOL! Thanks for the comment.

  • Wonderful choice of song. Love it. Thanks

  • Yes, the song makes this even more enjoyable! Did I see an image of actor, "Fatty Arbuckle" in there? - not sure, but if he is, you might wanna think of removing it - wasn't he convicted of brutalizing a female? sorry to rain on the parade - the video is still great! Thanks!

  • I thought I heard of that, thanks for the reminder. I'll see what other image I find.

  • He was not CONVICTED...I think he was tried and suspected, but I'm not sure...

  • I thought I heard that too. It's hard to keep changing the flow since it all works so well. Thanks.

  • TwentiesDOLL12213 and GDLR- I stand corrected... found an interesting account about Roscoe Arbuckle's trial and he was never convicted. See articles on yahoo, etc.--a very interesting story and quite a talent in his day until the trial ruined his prospects for future work (he was highest paid actor at time- more than Keaton!)

  • Thanks for the info, My sister and I talked it over and she felt so bad because those two pics of fatty and the woman went well together, however I understood your previous point. He's also in the 2nd Pic, as one of the keystone cops.

  • I really like this...and I love Rudolph Valentino! The silent films are so often forgotten anymore--that was what you call acting, really, since they had to rely so much on expression and actions. Great slide show!

  • from nottingham , made it in his bedroom

  • Awesome! Whats the song from?!

  • Thanks, it was just a one hit wonder song from the mid nineties, I don't think it was used in any movies. The artist is White town.

  • ahh i remember when this song came out years ago. have you seen the original video made for the song? Nice collage!

  • Oh yeah it's cool, they have it posted on youtube. I love this song! :-) G.
