MMA was actually brought into popularity by Bruce Lee. His style taught to use all styles as one/ or no style as a style as he put it. In many of his movies he used ju jitsu wreastling submissions karate tkd muay thai elbows boxing judo kung fu and much much more in to one style that makes any fighter different from any other fighter of the same or a different style.

Bruce Lee never used any TKD in his movies. It's not because he's chaining 3 kicks that he's doing TKD.

In the Chinese connection, when he goes into the dojo he uses some Crescent Kicks, and in Game of death, when he fights the karate champ in his locker room he uses a snap kick combo, which is only done in tkd. Probably more, but that's all I can remember off of the top of my head.

The commentator of the video is seriously lacking knowledge of martial arts. For beginners, both Sambo and BJJ are derivatives Judo which was directly derived from Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Modern day mma is Pankration with rules which goes back 3000 years.
