If you want to own one legaly in the USA, you need to fill out (I believe) a Form 1, include $200 for the gov't, wait up to 3 months to get it back, then go buy your suppressor. Yea, even the sound of the moving parts of the gun will make noise.
as for the escaping gasses, you can further reduce the sound with subsonic rounds, especially if the gun you're shooting creates a sonic boom.
If the calibur of the gun creates a sonic boom all the silencer does is reduce the range the boom travels by a large amount.
But with low calibur or subsonic ammunition the loudest sounds are somtimes the bolt clicking or the round ejecting.

omaha beach?D day? the battle of bastogne...the big red 1 in italy.. thats not even going into the naval side of the war and yes it was a multi national effort, but it was the americans who won some of the most decicive and important battles of the war. And no i didnt learn it in my american SCKOOL, i learned it from my time spent serving with the 3-75 ranger regiment and 101st airborne div. No we didnt start it but we sure as hell finished it, hiroshima nuff said.

It's actually a USP .45 Tactical. A SOCOM is much bigger than that and the sights and triggerguards are different, among other things.

If you want to own one legaly in the USA, you need to fill out (I believe) a Form 1, include $200 for the gov't, wait up to 3 months to get it back, then go buy your suppressor. In most states you can legaly own and shoot them, believe it or not. Don't listen to anybody who says that they're illegal.

yeah that was some bad aiming, 25 meter target!! ohh dear, but you have to take into account that its at an angle to the shooter, i mean its on the floor, kinda harder for starter shooters to line up agasint targets which are not perpendicular to the gun.
