@MrHJona That's a clip from 20 Million Miles to Earth (1957)--one of Ray Harryheusen's special effects classics. That creature is called the Ymir--it came from Venus.
Clint Eastwood's first part, but not full part was Taurantula where he played a fighter pilot. Still and interesting bit of information to know about his career.
I think when they were making MONSTERS vs. ALIENS, they based all the monsters in that movie from some of the classic ones... I think Missing Link was based from the monster in this movie, The creature from the Black Lagoon...
(for laughs) me: Hey Gillman Gillman: what? me: Delta Force Gillman: who? Sandman(MW3):Freeze! Truck: Don't move! Grinch: Hands up! Frost: Sandman. target located*all have M4A1s with acog and grenade launchers* Sandman: Prepare to fire!*all target Gillman* Gillman; Aw shi- Sandman:FIRE!*all fire on Gillman,Gillman's body is filled with holes*Cease fire! me: Well that hurt.
Jonny Quest that was like this, the monster looked just like this monster but with a tail and took place on the ocean instead of a lagoon, the episode is called "the sea Haunt"
Please check out the Trailer for "Weekend at the Cabin" and Purchase your own copy or rent it today. Help support your Indie Artist. Tell a friend. Have a great day.
@eddiebo1234 It's from Roger Corman's 'Creature from the Haunted Sea' which is actually a parody of this film (and you can watch the full movie on YouTube).
The "Back to the Future" in-joke goes even further than that. After Marty says that line, Doc asks "Who?" Marty looks at the posters of "Revenge" and "Tarantula" (another horror flick where a young Clint Eastwood had a bit role) and quips, "I guess he isn't so well known yet."
@FlyingPotatoChickens giant ants, giant spiders, giant killa monsters, killer brains, godzilla and OH GOD Is right but I went farther back than you it's not spam
i used to have the "creature" trilogy on dvd, one thing that you might find funny, is that if you pay close attention, you can actually see the zipper on the gillman costume
ben chapman is a nobody who done like 3 movies jesus chrise you know like on the universal monster legacy collection like dracula and frankeinstein actually have the actors who portrayed the monsters on top of the case but the creatur from the black lagoon doesnt cause ben champan a nobody
@nicktesla45 No genitals THAT WE CAN SEE. You can't see a fish's genitals at a glance, either, but they have them.
'Course, some stories just say that the creatures want to eat them. (And specifically are targeting beautiful women to eat....by coincidence? Er, okay.)
@ROOKI3LINKX I think it was the "Space Ape" I forget what movie he was from though, I did see his movie trailer in the bonus footage of one of my old Godzilla films.
ummm...but wait. a few questions about BTTF references. 1. after saying the quote "clint eastwood would never where this" he then replies "oh thats right, you dont know him yet..." if he wasnt around at that time then how was there a movie poster of clint eastwood? and second, if BTTF 2 is meant to take place in 1955 then why the cowboy theme? if they wanted cowboys they shouldve made it take place in the 1800s or earlier. seriously...
@pivotmasterDM1 1.-Clint Eastwood's screen debut was in 1955 so he WAS around (that's why there's a poster of Creature from the Black Lagoon next to Marty), he just wasn't famous at all, so Doc Brown wouldn't know who he was.
2.-The scene is from BTTF 3, where Marty goes back to 1885. Doc Brown dressed him as a cowboy in 1955 so he wouldn't have to be looking for clothes once he got to the Old West.
I saw this on TV in 1983, and the TV station said you could adjust your set and see it in 3D as long as you had the 3D glasses. Well, we got the 3D glasses and adjusted the set and VIOLA! It WAS in 3D just like they said, and it was NEAT!
one of the greatest monster movies ever this is one of the movies that made me love monsters my grandmother showed me this when i was like 3 years old and i still love this movie
Definitely the last of the classic monsters which I'll get to pretty soon! Ricou Browning also helped out with the underwater cinematography for the James Bond film Thunderball and its remake Never Say Never Again, both with Sean Connery!
Isn't it interesting that World War II made people more afraid of real life, and the horror movies after that would be some of the most unrealistic stuff in history? I love it, but it's not nearly as realistic as Jaws.
