Alasdaieeerr Roberts grew up in Wigan, FACT, he played at some pub in Orell when he was 3 months old, FACT, he moved to Scotland because he didn't like pies FACT and now he sells shit loads of albums REAL FACT because he 's ace...FACT...er yeah, he's posher than you think he is....even with the jumper... nice to chat tho, wouldn't trust him to take my dog for a walk tho, well it wasn't my dog, was my sisters, looks like a rat, was a shitzu, diddn't blame him
@leachim04 PS AR is a fine singer, but I must confess to finding his Long Lankin a tad too: "merrily oh merrily lankin skipped to the hall, and merrily so merrily he did bleed the baby dead" etc.
I remember Steeleye Spans version of this in the 70's which was a sumptuous arrangement that blew my mind - second only to Sheep Crook and Black Dog from that band. Alasdair has a fuller narrative here though the playing is more basic as is his wont. Love everything he does - his version of Lyke Wake Dirge is by miles the best ever recorded. If you have nae heard it - awa wi' ye to the record shop. Sorry Ali for the rabid racism just now - I'm a fellow Celt.

Oh indeed, that jumper is definitely not chunky knit. That's as nice piece of fine new wool as you'd ever find in M&S.

He was supposed to have lived in the woods in my villiage, bit creepy... (long lankin, not Alasdair, though actually that would be better)
