Howdy....thanks for stopping by. There are black bears and mountain lions in the vacinity but I have never had a problem with them. Although I wasn't wearing it on that particular hunt, I typically carry a Springfield 1911 .45 Semi-Auto on my hip but I have never had an issue. I have always been prepared for a problem but have never had one! Thanks for stopping by & have a Merry Christmas!!
Howdy! Thanks for stopping by. I'm also getting ready for the season. I typically hunt in unit 37 but have also spent lots of time hunting up north of Craig (Black Mountain area) as well. Good luck this year!
Awesome, I hunt unit 47 for elk and 33 for deer usually. I got a cam for this season I'm hoping to get some nice footage this year. I'm hoping to take my first bull. Your videos really show what hunting is all about!!! Have fun this year man I sure will...
This is an awesome video. I know how much extra work that must have been for you. I live in British Columbia, Canada and get to see the Rockies first hand. It's nice to see a fellow hunter who puts in so much effort and has such a respect for the outdoors. It's not all about shooting some steroid fed animal who eats out of the palm of your hand. Thanks for the video it was great to watch!!
Hi there! I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. We have two young children (age 2 and age 5 months) so there's not much time to get on youtube! Thanks for stopping by and for the kind words. I hear British Columbia is beautiful. I've been to Alberta (Waterton Park) but would very much like to spend time in British Columbia. Thanks again for blessing me with the kind words. Good luck hunting this year!!!
Thanks for visiting! I'm sorry it took so long to reply. One of my friends will be coming with me this year with the sole purpose of being the camera man. It's my hope to post many videos from September - December, God willing. Thanks for the nice comment and make sure to stop by this fall.
Wow man, you really know how to do it! And I can totally relate to the experience and the scenery being just a part of the hunt as seeing, let alone harvesting an animal. Great video, great footage. Reminded me of my dad's and my old hunting spot in Idaho, especially with all the old cabins and shacks in the middle of the high country wilderness.
Do you ever worry about bears or mountain lions and do you carry a gun? Or are there no predators where you went hunting?
