Thanks Odyssey - we just built this as a one-off project, and can't really bundle the software we wrote into a package that would work across the board. It was buggy (and complicated) for us to keep it running, and still needs a TON of optimization to make it usable for other people.
I found all the info I needed to do this project on various sites on the web, but if you have any questions, def let me know.
I'm developing a multitouch music software using reactivision, open GL and i'm still looking for a realtime API to play sounds and manipulate it. I would like wich one you use to retrieve the sound datas in real time to display them on your screen.
We used Max MSP to interpret the reactivision messages, and then split those messages to create the audio and visual pieces. We wrote code in C# to accomplish this, but it is not scalable or distributable unfortunately. Let me know if you have other questions
I'm divided between coding mine with OpenAL(that i already know)or with the ASIO SDK.
The first one seems easier to use but i'm not sure about its low latency possibilities and the second one, the ASIO seems a little bit harsh to make the simplest thing.
I'll tell you when i'll get decided and i'll show you my results.
Hey Anton, Loving what you have done here, seems to me this thing is even better than the origenal reactable with the implementation of ableton and midi, i would really like to have a go at something like this, could you possibly point me in the right direction as to where to start, i already have a multitouch di screen, its just the software i'm quite fuzzy on all i know is a little max/msp, would you ever be willing to put your software up for ssale...
All the info I found as I built this reactable is freely available on the web. happy to help answer questions if you get stumped along the way....cheers
i cant find or create the software.please help me.i mean i have reactivion but i dont have the other things like the client for the visual effects.PLEASE HELP ME I WANT A REACTABLE.
Impresionante, cuando conoci el reactable me quede sin palabras y viendo este video me sigo quedando sin palabras...Fenomenal Anton y compañia

Hey mate,
how do you split the messages from reacTIVision to create audio and visual pieces?
How is this done in Max/MSP?
Are there any other applications that can do this?
Thanks heaps!! Daniel
