  • I played my vinyl album continuously. I downloaded on my IPOD; my 28 yr old daughter took the vinyl!!!! Amazing lyrics, voice, instruments. 'Gone too soon, rest in peace Jimmie. I too saw him in Kansas City, Lamb....

  • I saw Jimmy Spheres at the Uptown In Kansas city Missouri, I think it was about 1976 or so. I love his music!

  • I fell in love with this album in 1973, but had to hunt for six months to get a (second hand) copy of it on vinyl. That was stolen, but now I get to hear it all over again. I love the net.

  • Hearing his Voice, & seeing the Videos that have so lovingly been made for his Music .. it's truly some HEAVEN on Earth!!!

  • Hey, Boomer Swooner...how's that Bedlam smackdown working out for ya, Trick?

  • Transcends TIME&SPACE where you find ETERNITY EMBRACING INFINITY FOREVER REACHING

  • the uptown kansas city mo saw him play there

  • He was just as amazing in concert, back in the day...

  • Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard.

  • Back in college at Oklahoma State University this album was constantly borrowed by my fraternity brothers at the Sigma Chi house because you play this while with a woman and she was surely going to be yours.

The ladies loved this album...and so did I and most of my friends.

Jimmie was opening for someone (I forgot) in OKC. We went to the show and he stole the show there, too. What an artist.

  • @Ostateman

It was the Moody Blues in the Myriad. Saw the same show and he was teriffic. Didn't know you Aggies exploited him the same way we did! Boomer

  • There MUST be some Jimmie LIVE out there somewhere! PLEASE, PLEASE post it!

  • Transcends life, beautiful, takes you to a wonderful place.

  • My wife and I saw Jimmie the night we were married, 35 years ago. It was a small crowd--very intimate. Despite the size of the crowd, Jimmie put on a great show. It was a real treat.

  • Well done!

  • i saw jimmie spheeris as an opening act for finnigan and wood back in 72..........needless to say he stole the show.....saw him again in 73 at the uptown theater in kc, met him back stage and ask him to sing for my b-day party, he politely said that he was on tour and could not....saw him again in 74 at worlds of fun...i have 4 copies of isle of view and never get tired of hearing his sweet sultry smooth voice...sounds as good today at 55 as it did when i was 16...thanks jimmie for gr8 memories

  • @4usloghome I lived in KC for awhile in the 90's .I understand he was particularly popular there.Seeing him at the Uptown must have been pure magic. You are very lucky. The Music Exchange could never keep Isle Of View in stock.Big seller in KC.Sigh...
