  • That looks bigger then 6.5 weird.

  • could u do an inside video of the z-5300?...would love to see how they design it!

  • ???? WHY would you listen to low end equipment on a high end amp.? I am into high end audio and I don't even have one. SO, sell it to someone who deserves it.

    Don't be a retard.

  • @electrotech555 dude its my AMP I KNOW HOW MUCH MCINTOSH EQUIPMENT IS I DON'T NEED YOU TO VOICE YOUR OPINION

  • @LawrenceLouie

Good luck with high end audio dipshit

  • too fast!

  • I thought it silly to use a McIntosh for such a silly demonstration, let alone holding a driver like that close to ones ear, not at all too bright.

  • that's like my stomach punched :P

  • where is the sound? why is there no sound? where did she go? why? oh... there is sound

  • @paddyotay I got most of them locally at an electronics shop.

They can be bought from mouser or digikey or other online places.

You can buy whatever caps you want but the cheap ones may introduce noise.

Your problem will be larger ones where there is 3 to 4 capacitors in 1 unit. You have 4 of those. They use a common ground. But you will need to buy a single cap for each value used.

Then wire each one in place. Then use heatshrink tubes Then zip tie them in place. Keep originals for looks.

  • Probably down to that huge surround lol.

  • Cool Woofer Excursion....i agree with the Others...it does look more like an 8" than a 6.5"

  • are you sure thats a 6.5"? looks like an 8 to me

  • looks like a 8 inch subwoofer

  • @jose60674790 no shit ? lol :D

  • @jose60674790 the z5300e has a 6.5 inch subwoofer! :)

  • Why the fuck you put it on 100w amp.. It has 155w already on it's own original amp / box...

If you want to give power for it, then, use it own amp and wire up the power for only 1 wire (idk what is "siltaa" in english) and give it 500w boom.

  • The MC2105 is a real expensive HIFI amp. Those amps are heavy around 75 lbs and they actually put out more than 100 watts its rated at 105 but they beat that easy. They were built back in 70's and sound better than the cheap junk you buy these days. I helped someone who owns the MC2100 and 2105 and a MX 113 preamp to restore them to perfect working condition. The system is worth at 3K. If you don't believe me ebay them up and you will see. I would take this guy's amp anyday for my rig..

  • People should not compare a Logitech 5.1 system to Mcintosh equipment. Its completely in a different ballpark its like comparing a Hyundai to a Rolls Royce

  • Oh I reply to this over a year ago... Did you finally replaced the glass panel yet?

I am very sure that FatalUnfair has never touched such an amp and buys his crap based on peak wattages.

That is true the McIntosh Amps are like the Rolls Royce car. While the Logictech is like hyundai,

  • Is my receiver good, its a pioneer sa-1510. I like it better than any logitech i have. I want a mcintosh so bad

  • Well if you want the same amp but alittle cheaper get the MC2100. That one can be bridged and it does not have the meters. It will be about $500 to $800 for one on ebay. Get the one that has new capacitors on them.

A friend of mine owns the 2105, and the 2100 the 2100 tested with a little more power. The amp drives 4 EV 18 inch woofers without a problem.

  • I cant afford it, but is my reciever good

  • Ops i first thought it was 5500, sooorryyy

  • @FatalUnfair he was running it on 100 watts to show even more excursion free-air. it runs at much less than even 100 watts on the logitech amp, i have the 8" z-2300 which gives 76 watts to the subwoofer (TRUE wattage)

  • is that an eastech driver

  • no..Logitech = TangBand driver :)

  • oh ja stimmt...hab ich vergessen :) aber irgend eine marke benutzt doch eastech lautsprecher...

  • eastech is einer z.b von meinem dvd plaer (paladium) aber glaube speedlin? verbat eastech acuh

  • in English please =)

  • i actually talkd to alaskalux...but is said to him:

oh yeah...i forgot!but one brand uses eastech drivers, doesnt it?

  • actually i have a Philips sub that's a Eastech not bad for a 8 inch sub

  • @alaskalux wrong. the ONLY logitech system to use REAL tangband satellite and sub drivers is the Z-560

  • Any speaker designed as a SUBWOOFER will blow better than a normal SPEAKER, they have a heavier magnet, and are designed to go to lower notes, that a "normal" speaker is not designed to.

For instance, in Car Audio, you have tweeters, tiny high freq speakers, then your standard frequency speakers like yours to hit the mids and highs then the subs, to hit the lows. Tweeters, and standard speakers, should not be allowed to go down to sub freq, as they will pop and eventually break after distortion.

  • Then why are you replying to my comment if they aren't subwoofers? This guy here is showing a 6.5" speaker, that is somehow, companies are able to call a "subwoofer". Look it up, and get info, before you reply.

  • Then don't buy your speakers at Walmart, and why the hell did you buy an 8" Subwoofer? Clearly you don't know that much about how important cone surface is.

  • God computer subwoofers blow in comparison to the car audio world...jesus..we wouldn't even classify a 6.5" speaker as a "real" subwoofer.

  • do they hit hard

  • i dont have a sub on now, i cant hear anything lol!!! i guess its realllllyyy deep....

  • its not putting out ANY bass, because its out of the box...

  • I can't believe it's just a 6.5 woofer. The thing is loud as fuck. Hit's such deep bass. Very nice....

  • I've been debating for a couple of days now which one to get, the Z5300E or the Z-680. which one is better? please reply. thanks!

  • Well, after reviewing the 680 I would have to say to go with that, however the 5300e is not a bad choice at all.

My buddy has the 5300e, well broken in. I have the 2300, not so broken in yet...and I must admit the 5300e is quite louder. Could be due to the broken in'ness, could be the design, etc...

    680 looks pretty hot tho.

  • thanks!

  • z-680? they don't even make that anymore. its been replaced with the z-5500. i would recommend the z-5500

  • but the z-5500 is too expensive

  • logitech z2300 r great, i have 2, 117 dBz ^^

its epic enuf to well, distroy the wall... and get the cops called on u 3 times ^^, THX certifyed and about 150$ each here, if u kno where to get em cheap ^^

  • the only reason I dont want the Z2300 is because it's not surround sound. it's only 2 speakers. also because the Z-680 is better than the Z-2300

  • oh okaii

  • thank you for sharing it with us

  • Is this comment thing working. Just in case the last comment did not go thru since they hate us posting links. I found a face plate on E-bay for $120 total as of right now. That isn't bad since they are hard to come by. I really do recommend that you replace the plate and do the capacitors and it will last another 20 years. Just use (mc2105 glass face plate) on the ebay search and it will show up.

  • Thanks for the recommendation =)

  • Whatever you do please do not destroy that McIntosh amp. Those units are worth alot of money. About $500 on up.

I have replaced capacitors in a MC2105 and it sounds just great. Its on a tri amp system, Mc2100 connected to 4 18inch woofers. mc2105 is connected to EV mids 1824M. For the tweeters they are T35A EV connected to Ev7200 amp. Those amps always push out more than 100 watts its around 135 watts per channel. I got the mx 113 mcintosh preamp along with EV crossovers. Talk about hifi here.

  • Don"t worry this Mcintosh MC2105 Amp had a broken glass faceplate. It was from shipping damage. Since UPS throws the amps around and such and the person it was purchased from on ebay packed it very poorly. Its okay the amp still functions. I still have a Mcintosh MC2500 and Mcintosh MC352 Amp to use and those i Do Not use to test speakers

  • very nice sub

  • FINALLY i have seen what the Z-5300/Z-5300e/Z-5350/Z-5400/Z-5450 subwoofer driver looks like :D

  • wow, I always wondered what the z5300e's sub looked like.

  • nice
