I have the same lg, and I have connected the tv with my display card on RGB In (PC), the max resolution is 1360 x 768. Why it is not the HD resolutin (1080p)?

i have had a look, but this TV ships with firmware 3.48 and you ned to down grade to 3.15, and the downgrade from 3.48 to 3.15 is not stable ! every other one is apart from 3.48

I have read that Plasmas are better because they don't suffer input-lag problems but I'm not keen on their glossiness, live in a bright, sun-lit room and believe they are very heavy and unwieldy.

My favourite game genres are racers and sports simulations.

Just got mine today :D. So chuffed with it! I got the 37 inch for £397, such a bargain! From asda of all places. I know what you mean about gaming, I was speachless. Mw2 looks stunning, as does films like ice ages etc. Running through hdmi so I think the xbox upscales DVDs. What's your gamertag btw?

Sorry, the input lag shouldn't have anything to do with panel type, it's the image processing engine. Speaking of it, hows the input lag on this set for gaming?

Does this TV have an IPS panel? IPS will have :

- weaker blacks

- negligible input lag

- excellent motion resolution (lack of blur)

- excellent viewing angles

compared to an S-PVA panel for example. I'm trying to decide between this or a Toshiba RV635 (S-PVA) but I think that's only for a 32".

Hiya, great video, I'm looking into buying this TV myself. The thing is, you said it's 80,000:1 contrast ratio, but even on the official LG site it says it's 50,000:1. I was also under the impression it was 80,000:1 but I can't remember why... I've read in several places it could be either. Anyone know what it actually is?

Really good unboxing video buddy. I've been looking at tvs for ages, so many to choose from! I'm gonna go for the lh3000 series too, heard great things about them and they seem great value for money. yea i would fully recommend this TV :D i am also using this for my xBox in Full HD. the only disadvantage i can see is the build in free-view it is amazing however when you select a channel you then have to press OK to view the describing of what is on ! but it is great

you need to have the adaptor from apple (mini DVI to VGA ) then just plug a straight forward VGA cable into the computer input !
