fellow Pens fans, I know it sux that Malkin and Crosby have to continue having shmucks for wingers. But the flip side to that is Pittsburgh will not spend as much tim ein there own zone retrieving the puck from other teams.

The signing of Michalek and Martin means essentially, that, they will shutdown the likes of Ovechkin, Semin, Richards, Stamkos, clear the net and then have cleaner offensive zone entries for Geno and Sid. Plus Mike Yeo, there powerplay cpach, was fired thank goodness.

To the hockey trolls: one thing I like to tell people who don't understand the appeal of hockey is to consider the fact that they work in <2 minute shifts. For those shifts, the players are going balls to the damn wall. Essentially the whole hour of play is is intensely hardcore as each team constantly replenishes the ice with fresh players.

It's a great sport with an intriguing and rich history and tradition. Check out a game in person - it's not the same as what's on TV.
