  • This man DOES NOT OWN Gatwick. He is the chairman of the investment fund that owns Gatwick. How dumb are u people

  • @Shiftee88 : YOU ARE DUMB BECAUSE HE IS THE OWNER OF GLOBAL INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERS. IT'S HIS INVESTMENT. HOW DUMB CAN YOU BE? IT'S LIKE SAYING MOHAMMED AL FAYED IS NOT THE OWNER OF HARRODS BEING A QATAR INVESTMENT AUTHORITY. YOU ARE DUMB!

  • @omoibile He has a $65million stake in Global Infrastructure Partners. which is a £5+billion dollar fund. That is about 0.01%. If I owned 0.01% of google shares does that mean I own google? No. You are obviously the one who's dumb.

  • @Shiftee88 :Adebayo Ogunlesi sits atop a $5.64 billion joint venture, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), whose founding partners are Credit Suisse and General Electric, based in New York, United States, where he holds the position of Chairman and Managing Partner.. Fortune ranked him as the Seventh Most Powerful Black Executive in the United States. It's is his project eventho GIP is an independent investment.he isnot just a partner. You can be the owner of an acquisition made for google.

  • @omoibile So you have just confirmed what I said all along, that he does NOT own Gatwick, he is the chairmain of the fund that owns it.

  • @Shiftee88 : He is more than just a chairman and more than just apartner. The deal is his under the umbrella of GIP.. If you are an investor you'll understand the whole deal better. Global investments is huge and Ogunlesi is the brain child.

  • @omoibile I Have never denied that he is the brainchild or that it is his project.. You are changing the subject. The question is whether or not he OWNS the airport, and he doesnt. So stop going off on a tangent and just accept that he does not own the airport.

  • @Shiftee88 : when you sit on top of a multi billion project you own it. Not as you own your private property. He bought Gatwick as an investment of GIP. It's his company so what is it you are trying tosay. Name any other body that context with Ogunlesi. He can sy tomorrow I'm selling it off and nobody bats an eyelid.

  • @omoibile you are talking unintelligable nonsense, you dont have a clue what your on about.

  • @Shiftee88 : YOU NEED TO GET ENLIGHTENED BECAUSE IT'S YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. DO YOU THINK HE WILL BE INTERVIEWED AND ELUDED IF HE IS JUST A SHARE HOLDER. WHAT IS THE POSITION OF A CHAIRMAN OF A GLOBAL COMPANY MEANS TO YOU? YOU HAVE NO CLUE.

  • @omoibile Being a chairman and legal ownership are two completely seperate concepts u fucking moron, u sound like a 5 year old

  • @Shiftee88 : MORON WHICH INDIVIDUAL CAN OWN A COUNTRY'S AIRPORT. ALL ALONG I WAS TRYING TO GET THE WORD "OWN" IS NOT LIKE OWING YOUR PRIVATE PROPERTY BUT YOU ARE SO NEGATIVE AND FULL OF HATE THAT YOU DON'T SEE THE REAL MESSAGE OR THE IMPORTNACE OF THIS MAN AND EXACTLY WHY HE OWNS GATWICK. YOU ARE A FOOL. AL FAYED DID SAME WITH QATER INVESTMENTS. SILLY PATHETIC HATER

  • @omoibile QATAR*

  • you know you've become a completely useless country when someone from a very poor corrupt country like nigeria can do a a better job than you can!!!!!

  • @robertrobin10 we are not poor , we have the resources natural and manpower, but we have corrupt leaders who are also supported by corrupt western interests where the moneymen put profit before people. sounds kinda familiar doesnt it.?

  • @SuperQueenofAfrica you're right i'm not poor either i just have alot of space in my wallet were money usually goes.I agree, africa has alot of natural resources except one smart people. Africa is wealth and valuable---- africans are not!

  • @robertrobin10 thats YOUR PROBLEM NOT MINE, self esteem is not our problem and the NEGLIABLE OPINION OF OUTSIDERS LIKE YOU WORTHLESS and as usual as a tad dressed up as a headless chicken WHICH YOU ARE.. LATER HATER, COS WE ARE FAR GREATER THAN YOUR MINGING AND EMPTY WALLET.. as they say EMPTY BARRALS MAKE MOST NOISE.. lol

  • hypocrites coming at US when they need to clean out the smell coming from their backsides.. awon oloshi, won bere ni ye!

  • @SuperQueenofAfrica .nigeria is not poor just ruled by corrupt leaders

  • African Americans need to get out of the liberals house and form their own economically savvy party and stop doting on the government.

  • PRIDE OF NIGERIA AND THAT OF AFRICA AT LARGE. KUDOS BAYO OGUNLESI

  • @suwatmusic The Richest Back man in the world is a Nigerian. (2011)

  • Pride of Nigeria and that of Africa in General. Well done Bayo Ogunlesi

  • One words I love being a Nigerian it takes the hit of the only things they know us for which I's scam and terrorism in quotes

Just shows the world that Africa, black people are not monkeys or gangsters on the street but are business minded individuals too.

And finally thank God for Internet that shows us the truth about our race and what we tend to achieve if we put out minds to it despite your race!!!

  • Nigerians are very good when it comes to money and business

  • @GARVYITE Yes, especially when it comes to fraud and ripping people off.

  • @harrynking777 Keep your bullshit comments to yourself please. Nigerians are very business savvy, they are the most educated group of immigrants that comes to America.

  • @GARVYITE

You are right, most Africans immigrant are in America because of education, and if you want to see this, just visit the hospitals. Most black doctors and nurses are from Africa.

  • @harrynking777 when you talk about fraud and ripping people off why done we start closer to HOME here ENRON anybody .. so western INTERESTS dont do FRAUD, dont bug phones and dont sell HOMELOANS at 100 percent, sell off the BAD DEBTS to asian countries to pass them on and perciptate THE WORLD ECONOMIC CRISIS? yeah right, shit stinks and it stinks right at your door step .. next..

  • Hello folks this guy is not just ordinary individual,he once runs "credit swiss-first Boston"one of wall street financial banking......

  • Comment removed

  • I know the power of media and perception. Whoever controls perceptions shapes reality. It is important for black people worldwide to see these types of images so that they can aim higher in all fields of endeavor. We need black multinational corporations as large or larger as any Asian or European ones. it is inevitable that Africans and other black people worldwide will begin to occupy those positions of wealth and power in the near future

  • Obviously there will be many more black business tycoons emerging throughout Africa this decade. Mr. Ogunlesi is only an example. And he is a fine example or role model indeed

  • explicitly who the majority shareholders are. It is the same with MGM that built and constructed the City Center in LasVegas. There were many other investors in that project, like the sovereign wealth fund of Dubai. Now go home and get a life you peasant looser

  • @Pirell do not post me any comments you low life useless piece of scum. It says he is a managing partner, not a CEO for hire. What are you obsessed with Nigerians? I didn't even post a comment to you. You obviously are a troll. It wasnt even 12 hours since i posted this comment. It is well known fact that we are industrious and business savvy. You are the idiot looser. Are you the federal reserve chairman? How do you know who the majority shareholders are? The corporate web page does not state

  • who is worth at least 5 billion. It is almost certain that Mr. Ogulesi will surpass the 1 billion mark very soon if he hasnt already because the infrastructure business is the business to be in at the moment. The developing countries of the world will be spending hundreds of billions in the next decade to upgrade and modernize their infrastructure to spur economic growth. Nigeria alone needs at least 300 to 400 billion in infrastructure upgrades

  • Mr. Ogunlesi could end up as the sole owner of that asset as well as others. Again, multinationals go in and out of assets. Mr. Ogunlesi although immensely wealthy is probably not a billionaire. There are dozens of Nigerian dollar billionaires in and out of Nigeria. Mike Adenuga, Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Oba Otedoka, Jim Ovia, Jim Ovia,Tony Elumelu, Jimoh Ibrahim, Harry Akande, Pascal Dozie, and the Ibru family all have assets of more than one billion dollars. The richest is Mr. Adenuga

  • @dabcore you idiot what are you mentioning nigerian billioianres for? is that what i was talking about? did any of them buy the airport? my issue is not how rich or not rich mr ogunlesi is, its that he doesnt "own' gatwick airport..simple as. the company he is chairman of, OWNS gatwick airport and that company is majority owned by GE AND SWISS BANK, THEREFORE THE SHAREHOLDERS OF ALL THESE COMPANIES OWN GATWICK AIRPORT. idiot olodo telling me about billion this and that. shut ya mout jare.

  • This guy Perelli is a jealous idiot. Mr. Ogunlesi is a significant partner in the consortium that owns London Gatwick Airport. The other investors, GE,and Credit Suisee are not active in management, they are passive investors. So theoretically he owns that airport. Mr. Ogunlesi is not a CEO for hire, like Lee Scott of Walmart. Mr. Ogunlesi is a managing partner. Many huge multinational companies like GE and CS go in and out of assets for various strategic reasons. It is not inconceivable that

  • He is a man of giant intellect as well. He obtained degrees from Oxford, Harvard, and Yale Universities. He also clerked for a Supreme Court Justice in Washington before venturing into the business world. He is one of my favorite role models. Mr. Ogunlesi thanks for succeeding and setting a good example for all black business people. God bless and may you succeed in every endeavor.

  • Wow! now lets buy the white house and Buckingham Palace!!

  • THey dont want to show this man, as he is now big time....

  • Now let me ask everyone this. Why haven't we heard something of this nature on CNN or any of the news outlets here in North America. Yet when it comes to pirates, AIDS, poverty, and everything else negative in Africa, it's top news?

  • @ridleyfox

Who owns and operates the news outlets? Certainly not anyone representing the African Diaspora.

  • @HaloedG Good point.

  • @ridleyfox very simple buddy, because when it comes into ridicules that a lot of speculators makes millions of dollars through their fake ONG's with the same excuse of "SAVING AFRICA" then it's better to spread the news through whatever media, but any good news about AFRICA or the AFRICANS is a threat to the western world with the facts of loosing their leadership role especially to a continent where in decades or rather would i say a century ago has being their refuse dumping territory.

  • @ridleyfox hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @ridleyfox this one is OLD NEWS .. if you read NIGERIAN MAGAZINES you will now about it.. but of course dont expect CNN and other white owned media to put out stuff that doesnt feed into the "poor rotten african" syndrome..

  • @ridleyfox Because this is not news worthy in North America? News from Africa is overwhelmingly bad, don't try to cover up the problems in that continent.

  • @ridleyfox fuck, cnn bbc, and white wishes

  • ''He recently acquired the London Gatwick Airport in a deal worth £1.455 billion'' -Wikipedia. Pirell check your facts.

  • this man doesnt own gatwick airport. HE IS THE CHAIMAN OF THE COMPANY THAT OWNS IT. AND GENERAL ELECTRIC & CREDIT SUISSE BANK OWNS THAT COMPANY. THEY OWN GATWICK AIRPORT. he is still head of a large company like this which is of course still an achievement. but black people dont need to be clinging at straws to push the truth out of desperation. HE DOESNT OWN IT, he obviously was very influential in securing the buying of the airport. but owning it is incorrect to claim.

  • @pirell

    Who owns it?

  • @HaloedG GIC conglomerate, owned by General Electric, and SWISS Bank, however, Mr ogunlesi is the appointed chairman of this company. still a great achievement. people like him should be the leaders or nigeria, not those illiterate bastards currently ruling and stealing money they could never earn with their intellect.

  • This is epic!! wow! it is however a shame that an achievement such as this one is YET again brushed under the carpet by British tabloids and broadcasting companies, even with success... ethnic minorities are still regarded as being inferior...but thats Great Britain for you!!! nevertheless...this guy is inspiring

  • i was very suprise when i heard this, u mean a black man buy Gatwick airport, all our leaders and bisness men are desame felders, they are all thive

  • Never saw this news on CNN. if it was a white person, the news will be on for a month. Well the long and short of the story is that we own it.

  • @ubamuoma Who is "we"? are you part owner of this company?

  • Yet the British treat Nigerians horribly and call Nigerians awful names .... I can only blame Nigerian leaders and wealthy men ... Africans have not learn their lesson ... stupid fools .. its like building your house in a foreign land .. Thats why they messed up Africa. So that Africans will never find their land attractive to invest or build!!

  • what a nice chap

  • Ahhh a breath of fresh air!!!

  • awesome, maybe he should by a nigerian airport and...oh yeah he said stable legal system, oh well

  • Proudly Nigerian. A country that boasts of The Best, The Worst and The Average. No matter what goes on l will also be proud to declare myself a Nigerian!

  • Finally
