The real benefit of "Kurzarbeit" was not the money in the worker's pockets. Germany heavily depends on export, so german people with money in their pockets are not important for the german economy. It needs a lot of time to train a new worker and the german companies didn't need to invest this time, because they have kept all their workers

The concept of Kurzarbeit is good and the US should take a look whether it suits their economy. The most important thing is: The US must get its public deficit in order. @Tobi677 Germans are AIMING for world domination. I did not say that they will succeed. Actually its unlikely that Germany will win this time, as the German system usually is destroying its target and then tries to sell the scrap. Such a system of course is not competitive. Even if Germany is brutal enough to enforce its will, Germany soon will run out of profitable targets. And thus will go down the drain.

Germany's wealth is its population. I have both lived in Canada and Germany, and Germans tend to be much more educated, ambitious and social (not polite, but social) than Canadians (and respectively Americans). As a half Canadian I am somewhat sorry to say that Germans on average simply are more intelligent and better educated (especially in Hesse and the South-West) tha
