Kata is way better to watch. Search WKF Kata Worlds... for Karate then youll see good strong form compared to TKD.

You may not know this but these are standardized poomse according to the Kukkiwon. You will get penalized by going too fast or too slow, kicking too high, standing too wide and punching or blocking too high. You will also get penalized by using too much power, fluid and grace. If you ask me, I don't like it one bit.

@eugene680 Im just biased I guess because Im Karateka. But in Karate WKF kata there is a set standardized rule for how fat and how strong the Kata is done. There are certain segments in different Kata that must be done and slow as well. I still like Kata better then Pomsee. I think one of the main reason why its different so they stray away from simularities to Karate. Thats all I meant. I still love Olympic TKD though. You guys are the best kickers in the world for a reason! Thank you for info.

or your mother, or father .. its not easy to be a mother and go to this kind of championships, you should judge according to their physical conditions and level, its not the same a poomsae played for a young lady, than played for a woman.

The last one deserve the gold, poomse is not only for performing, you have to feel it and express it with detailed precision. The first two were really good but they were just doing it with not much spirit and life...I think many of you would agree if you watch again.
