Its Garry's Mod 11 and it has been out a LONG while Try Searching Garry's Mod and there will be lots of stuff done in it. It was released LONG ago. Realy nice game. EVERYTHING is posible in it. Nope. All the content you refer to isn't part of the HL2 GCF file, which is why you don't need it, it's part of the actual Source GCF file. I can assure you I wouldn't be so outspoken about this if I wasn't absolutely sure about this.

hl2 is not needed to for the gmod actually it is only needed it for some of the textures and models for specific servers and so on ive played gmod with only css and tf2 but it is way better to have it with css and hl2
