For people who are confused what sasuke is using is in fact Tsukyomi,but since he just got the mangekyou at the time,it wasnt that strong n when he used it it showed his MS unlike itachi who can activated it without even showing his MS,think about it to be able to control time n space like itachi can takes practice which sasuke didnt have yet
@sLyFoXz I wouldn't say that. Look at the Tsukyomi Itachi used on Sasuke the night he killed his clan. He only just got the MS and he was able to use it like that. Even then look at the Tsukyomi Sasuke used on Danzo. He's had it for awhile now but it was still nothing.

That was not litterly Tsukuyomi.It was just a Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu. If it was Tsukuyomi sasuke would of controled time. Itachi can indeed control time during tsukuyomi but Sasuke didnt FULLY mastered tsukuyomi. Sasuke only mastered how to control flames (Kagutsuchi) Amaterasu and used Full Susanoo. Killer B, the Hachibi jinchuriki, has stated that and it has been proven as itachi failed to catch him in Tsukuyomi after his revival in the manga because the Hachibi was on guard and blocked it.

@MrRaikon Killer B can escape from the Tsukuyomi even if Sasuke was as good at it as Itachi. The success of the genjutsu relies on the victims chakra network remaining calm. The Hachibi and Killer B are close and act as partners, so it will erradicate the flow of his chakra and break any genjutsu almost the instance B is caught in it. B himself stated that a jinchuriki that has full control over his tailed beast like he does can become immune to genjutsu.

@MrRaikon It may have very well been that way as he trained under Tobi, who is an extemely powerful genjutsu user of the sharingan in his own right. He can control even the Nine-Tails with just sharingan. Training uner him may have allowed Itachi to use Tsukuyomi without his Mangekyo active. Maybe that was how it was intended to be while Kishimoto desinged it. Think about that.

He was standing right beside B' tentacle and said don't ook directly at my eye. B is shown to be looking in the same direction as the same part of his tentacle is visible, meaning a direct line of sight was had. Itachi hinted the Eight-Tails by saying what he said, and eradicated his chakra, both breaking the confusion genjutsu and cancelling out Tsukuyomi.

These happen sometimes indirectly. You have to read between the lines sometimes, not always rely on everything being shown. Think about that. No genjutsu, simple or not, will effect B. If he had fought B, he would have learned before he revival that you can beat him with any genjutsu, simple or complicated. Special or not Tsukuyomi will not take effect on B if his chakra is unstable. Its works against any genjutsu. B didn't just mean specific genjutsu. He said an illusion has no effect on a host who can control their beast. He didn't just say certain types. Thats what Itachi didn't know.

Tsukuyomi may be a Mangekyo technique, but Itachi is a genius who has rained under Tobi, so he might have discovered a way to use it with just Sharingan. There were hints that he maybe could. In both manga and anime, Itachi refers to it as a special Sharingan jutsu called Tsukuyomi. Kishimoto may reveal at some point that he could use it like that and chose not to.
@STCooper1 Sorry to dissapoint you but iachi said himself that tsukuyomi unlocked to him as soon as he got mangenyo and every time he used tsukuyomi he used his mangenyo.. except from the one with kakashi.. The fact is as i said that he didnt use mangenyo because kishi had not desinged it yet.. However kishame refered to his mangento and said not using it much cause he will become blind... The sharingan he used was the mangenyo ( i gae you another clue right now) but it wasnt desinged.

It was his strongest genjutsu afterall. That's what Kabuto was aiming for. Second, his exact words to Kakshi were that he had impressive abilities, maybe enough to even withstand the Mangekyo Sharingan, but that he could defend against a certain something, a special sharingan jutsu named Tsukuyomi

@MrRaikon First off, I said when he trained under Tobi, he could have improved them, so he wasn't dead. And secondly. if he did manage to augment his Mangekyo ttechnique the way I theorized, then there may have been consequences as to why didn't use them with just the sharingan, like deteriorating his health even worse or it costing him more chakra than the Mangekyo. I didn't say anything all about free use of it with the sharingan. Whether or not he did augment it hasn't been shown.

@MrRaikon I'm not suggesting when he fought Kakashi, I am suggesting when he was resurrected and didn't have to worry about losing his eyesight. When he fought against B and warned him not to look at his eyes, he either used and deactivated his Mangekyo off camera, or used Tsukuyomi with his standard sharingan. My theory is that when he trained under Tobi, given his prowess and genius with the sharingan, he may have been able to augment his use of Tsukuyomi to be sharingan useable.

@MrRaikon Thats the whole point. My theory is that he might have augmented his use of Tsukuyomi while training with Tobi before they massacred the Uchiha clan. Tobi has already been able to augment to ability to use Mangekyo Sharingan to control the Nine-Tails to where he can do it with just his sharingan, thereofre Itachi might have been able to augment his Tsukuyomi while training under him. If my theory turns out to be true, then there will be a reason why Itachi didn't use that.

That was not litterly Tsukuyomi.It was just a Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu. If it was Tsukuyomi sasuke would of controled time. Itachi can indeed control time during tsukuyomi but Sasuke didnt FULLY mastered tsukuyomi. Sasuke only mastered how to control flames (Kagutsuchi) Amaterasu and used Full Susanoo. Itachi didnt FULLY master Amaterasu (Kagutsuchi) Itachi only mastered Tsukuyomi and Susanoo

Here is the proof: Danzo said'' Sasuske , ur genjutsu is far cry from itachi's who freely manipulated time'' With tsukuyomi u can freely controll the time and noone can escape from that, even the hachibi.. Its a high rated genjutsu that only the ones who are excellent users of sharingan can escape. Sasuke doesn't suck at genjutsu but he has not learned tsukuyomi right now. @MrRaikon Killer B can escape from the Tsukuyomi even if Sasuke was as good at it as Itachi. The success of the genjutsu relies on the victims chakra network remaining calm. The Hachibi and Killer B are close and act as partners, so it will erradicate the flow of his chakra and break any genjutsu almost the instance B is caught in it. B himself stated that a jinchuriki that has full control over his tailed beast like he does can become immune to genjutsu.

He can control even the Nine-Tails with just sharingan. Training uner him may have allowed Itachi to use Tsukuyomi without his Mangekyo active. He was standing right beside B' tentacle and said don't ook directly at my eye. B is shown to be looking in the same direction as the same part of his tentacle is visible, meaning a direct line of sight was had. If he had fought B, he would have learned before he revival that you can beat him with any genjutsu, simple or complicated. Any genjutsu, even Tsukuyomi requires that the chakra network of the victim remain steady and calm. If something eradicates the flow, the genjutsu will take no effect. Tsukuyomi never did effect B because his chakra was unstable.

@MrRaikon Kakashi was referring to fact that it can be broken by another person once one is caught in it. A jinchuriki and their tailed beast count as one individual despite having separate chakras. Special or not Tsukuyomi will not take effect on B if his chakra is unstable. Its works against any genjutsu. B didn't just mean specific genjutsu. He said an illusion has no effect on a host who can control their beast. He didn't just say certain types. Thats what Itachi didn't know.

@MrRaikon Continuing where I left off, the first genjutsu that Itachi used on B was to confuse him with the crows and directly draw his attention to his face. B was already caught in the genjutsu when Itachi said not to look directly at his eyes, so he could have been warning against the crows. He was preparing Tsukuyomi. The Eight-Tails was watching the battle through B's eyes and was hinted that something big was about to happen and so it eradicated his chakra to cancel both genjutsu

@MrRaikon You still didn't read between the lines did you? He hinted he was about to use Tsukuyomi when he said not to look at his eyes directly. B was already caught in the crow genjutsu, so why would Itachi warn him so he wouldn't get caught by that if he already was. The Eight-Tails was listening and eradicated B's chakra both cancelling out the crow genjutsu and blocking the oncoming Tsukuyomi from having any effect on B. Thats the way it is. End of story. @MrRaikon Why else would he have warned him not to look at his eyes? Kabuto wanted to capture B and Naruto and there is no other genjutsu that Itachi can use that would be powerful enough to incapacitate them both besides Tsukuyomi. Providing B wasn't close to his tailed beast for aid. If B didn't have that, please tell me what other genjutsu would be powerful enough. Maybe I am wrong, so answer me that question.

@MrRaikon Itachi still had control over his mouth. Since he wasn't using Tsukuyomi willingly, he would have warned B against even that. Did you fail to realize that? Now if it wasn't Tsukuyomi, you tell me what other genjutsu it could have possibly been.

Plus you still haven't disproven that he might have extended his use of the technique to being able to do it just with the sharingan after training under Tobi. How do you know that isn't what Kishimoto intended it to be? Plus Itachi refers to it as the following " This special sharingan jutsu called Tsukuyomi". That is evidence it may be true.

@MrRaikon Actually since not very much has been said on those subjects, my hypothesis can very well be possible outcomes. Tsukuyomi may be a Mangekyo technique, but Itachi is a genius who has rained under Tobi, so he might have discovered a way to use it with just Sharingan. There were hints that he maybe could. In both manga and anime, Itachi refers to it as a special Sharingan jutsu called Tsukuyomi. Kishimoto may reveal at some point that he could use it like that and chose not to.

@STCooper1 Sorry to dissapoint you but iachi said himself that tsukuyomi unlocked to him as soon as he got mangenyo and every time he used tsukuyomi he used his mangenyo.. except from the one with kakashi.. The fact is as i said that he didnt use mangenyo because kishi had not desinged it yet.. However kishame refered to his mangento and said not using it much cause he will become blind... The sharingan he used was the mangenyo ( i gae you another clue right now) but it wasnt desinged.

@MrRaikon Maybe for some reason like it only strengthened his disease after he caught it or drained him of more chakra than the Mangekyo would do to the different versions, or maybe even because he could cause he to go blind faster. You can't predict the future and neither can I, so we are even in that since and we won't know if any of theories and hypothesis are true until more is revealed. @MrRaikon And like I said before you have to read between the lines with that. Itachi may have used and deacitivated his Mangekyo off camera against B, so he might have and it be off camera. It was his strongest genjutsu afterall. That's what Kabuto was aiming for. Second, his exact words to Kakshi were that he had impressive abilities, maybe enough to even withstand the Mangekyo Sharingan, but that he could defend against a certain something, a special sharingan jutsu named Tsukuyomi

@MrRaikon The first time he ever says anything about Tsukuyomi, he doesn't state the technique to be one of the Mangekyo strickly, so he might have been able to use it otherwise due to using his own genius to augment his Mangekyo abilities to use that or any one of them with just the standard Sharingan. @MrRaikon I didn't say that he didn't discover it with the Mangekyo, just that Tobi training Itachi may have allowed him to augment his use of the technique to being able to use his sharingan to use it just as Tobi used his sharingan to control the Nine-Tails. Both abilities are said to be Mangekyo, yet one has already been revealed to be capable of being done with just the sharingan. Therefore it is still possible that Itachi could use Tsukuyomi with just sharingan after his training.

@MrRaikon First off, I said when he trained under Tobi, he could have improved them, so he wasn't dead. And secondly. if he did manage to augment his Mangekyo ttechnique the way I theorized, then there may have been consequences as to why didn't use them with just the sharingan, like deteriorating his health even worse or it costing him more chakra than the Mangekyo. I didn't say anything all about free use of it with the sharingan. Whether or not he did augment it hasn't been shown.

@MrRaikon I'm not suggesting when he fought Kakashi, I am suggesting when he was resurrected and didn't have to worry about losing his eyesight. When he fought against B and warned him not to look at his eyes, he either used and deactivated his Mangekyo off camera, or used Tsukuyomi with his standard sharingan. My theory is that when he trained under Tobi, given his prowess and genius with the sharingan, he may have been able to augment his use of Tsukuyomi to be sharingan useable.

@MrRaikon Thats the whole point. My theory is that he might have augmented his use of Tsukuyomi while training with Tobi before they massacred the Uchiha clan. Tobi has already been able to augment to ability to use Mangekyo Sharingan to control the Nine-Tails to where he can do it with just his sharingan, thereofre Itachi might have been able to augment his Tsukuyomi while training under him. If my theory turns out to be true, then there will be a reason why Itachi didn't use that.

My theory can still be confirmed to be true or false at some point in the future unless it is seen that Itachi is destroyed again. It is possible the subject will come up due to Naruto's curiousness. Whether it does or does has yet to be seen. Noone can predict it will or won't. The only it won't is if Itachi is shown or found out to have been destroyed again. Oh, and Tobi did train Itachi before they massacred the Uchiha clan. He trained him and provided assistance.
